Wapstan is a project of Martin Sasseville, also known for his noise works as Foutredieu!!!.

 

Wapstan is a Cree Indians name for marten, that small carnal animal that braves the harshness of winter.

 

The idea of Wapstan has been cogitated to create sombre ambiances made from chaotic multicultural sources.

 

Wapstan creates sombre ambiances in the spirit of the harsh ambiance the sounds of winter give.

 

Winter as no king, no race, no god, no nation. The only political force of winter is the wind.
