News of Emil's Last Stand

6/3/01 - Well, what to say today, I have been doing a lot of thinking lately and I realize that not too many people like our band because we do not have cutie guys and shit that is fuckin stupid as shit. We might not play all the cool covers either, fuck that shit as well. Yesterday was terrible, I can not believe that everyone just left while we were playing just because I was too loud that is way to ignorant, you just do that. The thing is, what you little teeny boppers don't understand is that this is a punk show its supposed to be loud and you are supposed to support all the bands not just the ones you came to see, but I can see you little hussies don't understand that. Well, I want to thank NoApparetReason for at least listening to us, you guys rule. Next thing is I am trying to get shows for June 24th, July 8th, and August 12th. July 8th is gonna be the best show with Esperanto, Pickle Weasel, One Way Ticket, Emil's Last Stand, NoApparentReason, Aberdien, Face First(Jersey Ska/punk), Daze Alone(Delaware Ska/punk, Ska/core), Over It(Va Melodic Emo Punk) and hopefully Spitvalves(Orlando, Fl Ska/core). This will be a great show and then on June 24th will feature 5 Bucks from Boston, they are Ska/poppy punk. Should be some awesome shows so get people to come out and SUPPORT ALL THE BANDS. Well, we just order t-shirts, patches and shit and I have pins so you will see those soon, thanks to all of our good fans. The big thing we need is a lead guitarist if anyone that is good enough would like to play please let us know. Our music is also going to change a little bit, I am going to change my vocals up a little bit, more of an emo punk sound so please check us out we will be better next show. And of course KEEP ON SKANKIN' - T.J.

5/14/01 - Wow, many things to talk about since the last update on this page. I know I have been slacking with it! On the 12th, ELS played its first show at the Shrewsbury YMCA with Pickle Weasel, NoApparentReason, and Aberdien. It was a really good show even though there wasn't many people, but thanks to the people that came. I would also like to thank Pickle Weasel for playing that show on such short notice. We will be playing more shows with them. I wanna thank Paisley and the guys of NAR for letting us play that show and of course I would like to thank Aberdien for coming up and playing, you guys rule! OK, well everyone should see that we have a new logo on the page. That is going to be our general logo from now on. I am getting pins and stickers ordered this week and Bond is gonna get t-shirts and patches made soon so I will let you all know when that happens. We are still looking into recording in either late June or early July. We are going to record with Paul of the band, Aberdien. ELS has finally stopped its search for a bassist, we acquired Andy Branch to play bass and he is very good. I finally got some pics of him up and bio stuff so check that out. You may have noticed a link at the top of each page that says, BOTM, well that stands for Band of the Month, each month someone from the band is going to pick a band and tell a little about them and everything. We also have decided to forget horns for the time being and concentrate on the rest of our music as it is now. We would love to get some horns in the future. We have also gotten a new roadie, his name is Nick and he is a longtime friend of Brian's. He is gonna be selling our merchandise when we get it and helping us in getting our stuff to the show. He is also gonna help me write lyrics and come up with ideas for songs. So, if you see Nick at one of our upcoming shows make sure to say hi and tell what a great asset he is to ELS. Well, I think that is about it, thanks for everything people and of course KEEP ON SKANKIN' - T.J.

4/5/01 - Man, what an April it has been and it has just started. Many things have happened since the last news on this page, one major thing for sure is that we have a new drummer named Chad Keller. He is really good at punk and ska. Josh was just not the right fit for our band and I know many of you probably believe that this is my fault that he is out of our band, but it isn't. We gave him many opportunites. We told him when practices were 2 or 3 times and didn't tell us he had stuff going on so we needed someone more reliable. Next thing, is that the Y show has tentatively been moved to May 12th because our boss at the Y will be out of town, but supposedly he will be out that day, but we are going to try and keep that day, I will let you all know as soon as we find out. We are also on No Budget Productions, a record label, skate videos label and many other crazy things. This label is the guys from my old band now, One Way Ticket so check out that link. I also would like to say that I have put up some pics, a game and many other neat things on our page, but let's keep the message board clean and let's not put down other people, I know I might have and I apologize for that, my B. We are also looking into recording our first cd in June or July this year so check that out. This summer we will also have t-shirts, sticker, patches, and buttons hopefully, keep your fingers crossed. We might also be getting a new bassist to play for us instead of Lee, but I will let you know about that soon so thanks alot and of course KEEP ON SKANKIN - T.J.

3/1/01 - Wow, its March already that means someone's brothday is coming up, who could that be? Well, not too much to say here, but just that we are a new band that is just starting. Right now, we have a lead singer, guitarist, drummer, trumpet player, and we have a couple of people who potential could play bass for us. We also need a trombone player and a saxophone player as well. If you play any of these instruments then please get in contact with someone in the band. I know some people have been to this site, I am trying to change it all the time. If you have some crazy and zanny pictures of the guys in the band please send them to me so I can put them up. Plus we have our first show coming up so check out the shows link when you get a chance. Thanks alot and of course KEEP ON SKANKIN - T.J.
