The ASW/American Cancer Society Show!!!
The show On January 6th went GREAT! About 200 people came,we raised $1,045 , And it ALL went to the American Cancer Society.We're very proud that we raised that much money ,and that the show went as we expected... No one really smoked ,exept a few select ignorant people... We had the booth of fun-filled stuff(cancer brochours,Cookies+ brownies)ALL the bands put on a great performance! The bands that played were:1.Angry Kid , 2.Seventh Story , 3.Stretching FM , 4.Kite Flying Society , 5.What wishes can't mend , 6.What It's worth , 7.All That's Left , 8.The Agency, 9.And Man Holding Briefcase played a couple of songs.People were dancing , singing along and getting all emotional, It was amazing for our first show. The show started right on time(6PM) and ended around(12:00,12:30). It was Seventh Story's, and The Agency's last show for a while.
In the future ASW is hopeing to have more events like shows,bake sales,cherity's (ect.)This show was our first real accomplishment, besides starting ASW.
We would like to thank the following: The American Cancer Society , Flow skatepark for being so generous and letting us use the place, and we would like to thank their wonderful security for telling the smokers to stop!Counter theory by helping us book the show, and for helping us at the show!Thank you to the bands for showing up ,putting on a wonderful performance,and especially for careing! The people who showed up and danced,got emotional,didn't smoke/drink,and for having fun!Thanks to Man Holding Briefcase for showing up un-expected!*Plus* we would like to thank the bands who couldn't show up: 1.Anchorman, 2.Soothsayer, 3.Inroad ,4.My Hotel Year, 5.
