P-How long have you guys been a team?
G-Gameface has been around since '90 or '91, I joined the band in November of '96.
P-Who are the current members of Gameface?
G-Jeff-Guitar and Vocals, Todd-Guitar, Paul-Bass, Steve-Drums
P-Where do you guys base yourselves out of?
G-Orange County, California, we dont live there now, but we practice there, our mail box is there, it's kinda central for everyone!
P-Why there and not Calgary, where we could see you guys play more often? (our hometown)
G-It's WAY too cold there for us, we are all warm weather guys, well the other three are, I was born in CA, but grew up in Denver, Co, so I'm used to the cold, kinda.
P-Any memories that stand out in your head from playing a show?
G-We have had so many great show and great tours, hmmmm. I know we all love playing the Melody Bar in New Jersey, we all ways have amazing shows there, that is one club I will never forget!
P-Any horror stories?
G-The very last show of our "Every Last Time Tour"...we played with AFI at the Palace in Hollywood, the place was sold out, 1200 kids there....all of them to see AFI. They hated us. The more we played the more stuff they threw at us, and the more stuff they threw, the SLOWER we played...we ended with three of the slowest songs we had...it was great!...I got hit with coins, lighters...Jeff was getting hit with beer cups, wet toilet paper....it was a crazy show, but I loved it, it's fun to piss off that many people at once...I guess I should have put this as one of my favorite shows huh?
P-What albums do you guys call your own?
G-Let's see, it started with "Good", then "Three to get Ready", "Cupcakes" (which is the first record I play on)...then "Reminder" (that's a bunch of 7" and demos that were recorded before "Good")...then "Every Last Time", our first record on Revelation..."What's Up Bro?"..a split we did with ERROR TYPE: ELEVEN, our friends from New York, AND we just got done recording our new record that comes out October 17, called "Always On"..which is on Revelation also!
P-What albums would you guys like to call your own? (ie. any really great albums from other bands)
G-I don't know if there are any records I would want to call my own, but there are a few bands I would LOVE to be in...
1. The Supersuckers
2. Pavement
3. The Descendents
4. Sense Field
5. The Deftones

P-What is the song that everybody seems to love by you guys?
G-We get asked to play "Day in June" a lot, "Cupcakes", "My star"...I think those three are the most requested...and "Gibberish" also.
P-How is your latest album, "What's Up Bro?" doing, and how did it come to be that you guys hooked up with Errortype:11 on it?
G-We toured with ET:11 on the "Every Last Time Tour"... and became GOOD friends with them, they are fun loving, smart asses just like us, so we got along right away! I had the tape of "Drunk Tony" for a while, he is my old roommate, I take it on every tour, once they heard it and loved it, we both decided we need to do a split around the phone call, so out came "What's Up Bro?"
P-Who is your favorite Canadian band?
G-Bryan Adams...no, wait, isn't he on the Canadian nickel now?....uhhh I LOVE the Doughboys, they haven't been a band for a while, but I listen to their records a lot! I like Chixdiggit alot also!
P-Where is your favorite place to play? (ie. a zoo, planetarium, swimming pool)
G-Swimming is great...but I prefer a pool over the ocean, especially the California ocean...nice and dirty!
P-What do you guys do in your spare time?
G-We are all big sports fans, so we catch a baseball game, a basketball game, or HOCKEY!!...just kidding, I thought I'd throw that in there for you!
P-Do you guys have any special rituals or traditions while playing a show or practicing?
G-Not really, I warm up a lot so I dont get cramps or really tired when we play.
P-What do you guys plan on doing in the future?
G-We are taking a break right now, normally we tour all summer, but this year we decided to make a record, then rest, and think about tour later...Jeff is doing some acoustic shows right now on the east coast...everyone else is just hanging out with their families and friends, we havent seen each other for about 2-3 weeks now...

P-What might somebody expect when going and seeing a Gameface show, or hearing an album of yours?
G-I like to think it's a pretty high energy show, we play lots of songs and try to make everyone leave with a smile on their face!
P-Should they do anything to prepare for that?
G-Hmmm, well be ready to RAWK, and bring your smile!...OR...bring, change, beer cups, wet toilet paper, lighters...we love that stuff thrown at us!
