We're The 1030s!

Ahem…Ladies and gentlemen..
We are the 1030s….

((Condensed bio:)) Formed in early fall of 2005, the 1030s are a brand fucking new band out of Lake County. The original lineup has been altered but is now comprised of kyle Nobody (guitar/vocals), SeeJay Clutch (bass/vocals), charlotte Sometimes (vocals) and rick “hawkeye” Graves (drums). Their sound resembles that of a mix between these fuckers… Operation Ivy, Lunachicks, Rancid, early Devotchkas, Social Distortion, X, and 77 style punk rock and roll, but with some cunt singing and some cock yelling and screaming.

The 1030s were initially created by kyle and rick (previously of Midget Brigade, etc) after countless jam sessions. These sessions consisted of lots of ska, star wars references, video games, cheesy horror flicks, booze and cigarettes. They soon asked past member Marjorie Alford aka Butters (previously of Poodle Skirts and Tommy Guns) to join the band as their vocalist. Marjorie mentioned her new band voyage to charlotte (previously of Poodle Skirts and Tommy Guns), whom became fiercely jealous and hinted about how marvelous it would be to play music again. She was added to the 1030’s roster shortly after to play bass. Following a few weeks of awesome practice, Marjorie left the band due to her grueling work schedule.

So… The 1030’s were basically fucked, but recovered with Rick’s mention of a rad bassist he used to play with in Honor Among Thieves. This rad bassist was CJ Nelson (previously of The Eunix, etc), who later became known as SeeJay Clutch. Charlotte, in turn, became the vocalist to complete The 1030s. After a couple months of practicing, The 1030s recorded a 3 song demo (titled “Tokyo Joe”) at Pirate Studios in Grayslake. A full length cd is looking to be recorded in the near future (once funds are in order). With the help of our friends THE BRITVAS, The 1030s scored their first show in early December at the Just for Fun Roller Rink, but was cancelled due to some major douche bagery. More shows are scheduled in the upcoming months all around Lake County. (check the show listing page for details) So, come on out alley cats and enjoy The 1030s.
