Most people throughout the United States think that sk8boarders are punks. They think that we are all potheads with sk8boards that want to destroy anything we can. So they try to keep us from sk8in. Thats why I devoted a webpage to get our rights back.
HERE'S WHAT'S WRONG (as if you didnt already know)
There are not enough skateparks
The citys wont invest any money into building skateparks
Sk8ers are giving up sk8in cuz they get discouraged when they get kicked out of a spot
The 5-0's are taking boards up like they are giving out speeding tickets
Sk8ers get arrested for the use and possession of drugs
People are quiting cuz they "suck"
HERE ARE SOME THINGS SHOULD DO TO GET YOUR RIGHTS AND RESPECT BACK
if your at a private business, and you're asked to leave, just leave so they dont get the po-po's involved and you get arrested
if your at a "public" park, community center, ect DON'T LEAVE!!!!! Don't let the government(the police) rule you.
If the police try and take your board bring up your rights given to you in the 4th Amendment (unreasonable searches and seizures)
Don't do drugs
Go to City Counsil meetings to try and get a public skatepark built (you've gotta meet them half way)
Don't skate for sponsership, skate cuz its fun and you love it. Don't skate just so that you might be like your favorite pro some day
DON'T QUIT SK8ING BECAUSE EVERYONE SUX AT ONE TIME OR ANOTHER!!!!!
