News Nov. 11 ugh, i feel like such a shitty webmaster. i havent updated in pretty much a month. well, i easily added over 30 shows today. i want to add more, but my eyes are hurting because ive been staring at the screen for hours now. so i will add them later, i need a break. in other news, my laptop crashed. again. it blows. my next computer will be a mac. hopefully i will get the venues page up and working. later tonight im going to try the search feature again. its being a pain in the ass. i really want it to work though. Oct. 13 gah, i havent updated the news in forever. i hope to update more often. im trying this new thing, its called time management. its starting to work pretty well. i hope to have a myspace up, but i'm thinking it will take waaaaaay too much work for just me. i also hope to do more advertising for the site. yea, thats basicly it. off to work for me. Aug. 29 ugh. its been crazy. ive been working full time, and i was just transfered to another store. plus, my dell laptop is one of the 4.1 million that were recalled. fuck dell. macs are the way to go. well, big update. school started for me today, which means less work, which means i will hopefully have more time. hopefully Aug. 13 sorry for the lack of updates, its been hectic for me. more tomorrow. i promise! Jul. 23 my internet is a mess. i cant log onto myspace, i cant get into ctpunx, ctska, nutmegpunk. so i was only able to add one show. a show that was emailed to me. god damn Jul. 22 sorry for the lack of updates. my wireless network has been down, and ive been suffering because of it. its up today, hopefully it will still be up in a few hours. i hope to keep updating a little each day, so i can build up the amount of shows again. Jul. 19 so im home. i have been for a few days. its just my laptops fan isnt working, so i cant keep it on for long or it will overheat. and well, on my other computer, it wont let me log onto the site. today the wifi in my house went back up, so hence the update. Jul. 13 im in san francisco. mini update. california is pretty cool right now. connecticut is prolly hotter. its in the mid 60s/70s and windy as hell in the city. lots of homeless people here, and the punk scene is HUGE. unforutnatly it looks like im not going to be able to see a show. but, as for the website, mini update. deleted old shows, added some new... more news about the O Pioneers!!! show, the two other bands look sooooo good. it will be and AWESOME show, i strongly sugest you catch it. more details once i find out more. Jul. 5/6 i have wifi! i updated last night, but i couldnt update the news section. hopefully more updates tonight. cali is cool. im in La Jolla tonight, tomorrow i will be in L.A. for a few nights, then to San Fran where i hope to catch a show at 924 Gilman Street. Jul. 1 sorry for the lack of updates, the wifi is down in my house, so that means there is no internet for my laptop. and my sister hasnt been sharing the downstairs computer, so tonight i stole the modeum (spelling?) and now i hooked it up to my laptop. ive got some important news though, the first time i actually have real news I AM GOING TO CALIFORNIA FOR A FAMILY VACATION. Jun. 4 so, i added around 17 new shows. i kinda lost count. i was browsing all the connecticut punk bands on myspace and just adding shows on their myspace. so if you have a punk band in connecticut, and have 1000 plays, i most likely looked at your myspace page. i finished up to the K's. i think i will do more tomorrow, who knows. im thinking about getting a myspace to help promote this website. Jun. 3 wow. i feel like such a slacker. no updates in a week. but, since then, there has only been one person looking at the page. im going to get back to a daily update, i wrote out a schedual, hopefully i will keep to it. May 7 i went to see THE FLAMING TSUNAMIS last night. it was an awesome show. it was my first time seeing them, which is kinda sad since ive lived in connecticut my whole life and ive been listening to them for a while. but yea, i added 10 shows. im planning on updating the links page soon. if anyone wants their band up, or knows any good links, send them to me at ctlivegig@hotmail.com. my last day of finals is tomorrow, so im glad to focus more time on the site. i just want a shit load of shows up here. tons and tons of local small shows, so if someone wanted, they could go see a show every single night and not have to go too far from home to see one. Apr. 30 okay, expect small updates through out the day. so i have finals coming up this week, so expect no updates at all, or tons of updates. depending on how much i get side tracked from studying. but after that more updates. i promise the first thing up will be a list of venues, i have a few, but if anyone knows any local places where to have shows, please email me with them ctlivegig@hotmail.com it would make my life easier, and it would make it go up faster. also, this summer, im going to california for two weeks, so the site might remain un-updated for those two weeks. im trying to find some one who is willing to do the work for me, it will just be tough. also, im working hard on trying to make this into the website i wanted it to be, its just taking me longer than expected. on account of, i need access codes for my front page (cause i just got the newest version) and hopefully that means i can stop using angelfire as a host with all the crappy pop-ups Apr. 21 so while trying to make a website for my cousins band, i discovered (by accident) that i can twist the html so that i can put the ads at the bottom of the page, and by putting the page into a frame and locking it, i can then push the ads farther down so they wont be seen only if you scroll down to them, and with the frames locked, you cant scroll. hell yes to no ads and to beating the system. (new shows being posted tomorrow) Apr. 13 a few more shows added today. im feeling too lazy to go and do a indepth update. but yea, THE FLAMING TSUNAMIS are doing a show on May 6th at the space, which im very excited to hear, because despite living in connecticut my whole life, i have yet to see them. and, a rumored BOMB THE MUSIC INDUSTRY show on april 20th at the empress ballroom. its yet to be put on their page, but the people at ctska.com are talking about it. Apr. 5 about a dozen more shows added. im getting good at updating this news section Apr. 4 uh, a dozen or so new shows added. Feb. 28 so today i checked google, you can officially google LiveGig now. its pretty cool. try it! go to google type in "livegig ct" or any other words you want to add "punk, live, shows" whatever. its pretty rad. oh by the way... new shows posted. duh Feb. 20 finally, an update. angelfire has been giving me one hell of a time to try to update this thing. i am seriously looking into buying a domain. so then there will be no ads(unless you want to put ads for your website on here), no pop-ups, and the frames will work on all computers. well, some dates added, more to come tomorrow. Feb. 10 so... i did this huge update. tons and tons of new shows added and i deleted the old ones that were piling up. and what happens when i click save? my computer fucking freezes. so im going to try to redo it, but i might miss some. sorry guys Feb. 1 This saturday, at the Svea Club in Berlin there is going to be a kick ass show of local bands. five buck s for four bands. Jan. 23 i added 5 more dates today. one of which is a very cool TFT show on the 11th of Febuary. not much else. i found a glitch in the submit a show, where the date wasnt showing up when you clicked on the link. thats better now. also i fixed some shows, different bands being added or removed from the show. Jan. 20 88 page views yesterday. thats kinda cool. i dont know how i could have gotten 88 views without any promoting. unfortunately i added my counter last nite so i can only see who visited me today. ive added 17 new dates, and later today i will have a form up to submit dates and sugesstions for the website. hopefully Jan. 19 i updated the page layout, added color to the tables. that kind of shit Jan. 18 i made the site today, added dates and made tables for them.
