Eighth Grade Poems

Vicariously

If I have nothing I can't care about it
I have lost the will to care when I gave up the struggle
I know that if I don't care that I don't have anything
My soul is pretty dead
Once something is dead it can't be revived
It has nothing, it can't care

What will it help if I am answered for
I can't think anymore
If I am answered for I can't have a mind of my own
My brain cells are dying
Once they are gone they can't come back
They can't answer
They can't think

My parents will live vicariously through me
I don't have my own life
When I am lived through, I can't run my own life
My spirit is slipping
Once it has fallen, it can't fly
She is lived through
She can't run herself
