Whats up punx? Welcome to the official Ded Munkee Alive website.
This is our way of putting our original indie punk music out to the world.
Although we are not professional musicians by any means, our music is
our passion and we hope you will dig it also.

Ded Munkee Alive consists of brothers Gil and Marcus Valdez.
We got our start playing with the band Stompin White Pony.
We played various live venues and did cover songs and originals. After
some time SWP broke up due to creative differences. The more hardcore
and punk influences did not work for SWP. So Marcus and I went our
own way and started Ded Munkee Alive.

Although we have no drummer or dedicated bassist we have utilized
drum sequencers and music recording software to produce or music. Marcus (A.K.A. Chemical Soldier)
and I both contribute to tracks with guitar work and bass work. I am the vocal
and songwriting part of the band as well as mixing the tracks. Marcus is currently
working on another of our passions, he has enlisted in the United States Army
and is currently at Ft. Benning, GA. A tribute to him and the rest of our Army
brothers is coming soon in a song called "You don't want none".
