Bucket Truck is a very talented band who have been on the music scene since about 1996 in which they played their first show together. Mike Rizkalla brought his band Static to Newfoundland (from Halifax) during the summer of 1994. During his visit Mike made a decision to stay here. The rest of the group Mike Rowe, Matt, Chris, and Mike Stewart found their way to the band and joined. Mike Stewart being the last. The group of 6 guys out of Newfoundland, Canada have established a well dedicated and diverse fan base catering to an audience from ages 14-30. Their musical style is often categorized as Heavy Alternative Rock but they describe it as "...Basically rock and roll with a little bit of punk and rap thrown in with an influence of African, Latin and Eastern percussion" says Jud Haynes in an interview with the Newfoundland Herald.

Bucket Truck have done very well in the last two years. They have played two showcases for the ECMA's in which this year's was the first year ever in the ECMA history that security has had to be called in. They have had no trouble what so ever getting local gigs and they have shared the stage with very successful Canadian bands like Our Lady Pace, Moist, I Mother Earth, Sloan, Treble Charger, BTK, Joy Drop, Monoxides, The Tea Party, Furnace face and Estero. They have stepped in for two shows in Our Lady Peace's 2000 cross Canada arena tour and have been selling large amounts of there debut C.D. All the members love playing in the band and doing shows as Mike Rowe say's to a journalist at the Newfoundland Herald"There is nothing better than getting on stage, doing your thing and having people appreciate it. We love playing for kids because they get so into the music. They are not inhibited and have such a good time." He also says, "Preforming with this group has changed me as a person, given me a better work ethics. There is a lot of teamwork that comes into play with six people in a band and we always manage to come up with the resources to do whatever needs to be done. We treat it like a business but in the meantime we have fun doing so."

Bucket Truck have just recently moved to Nova Scotia to be closer to Toronto where their are a lot of Record companies. They are continuing to do well and hopeing one day to be big across Canada. The guys are getting ready to record the new album. This will take place in December. They also were able to get Juno award winning producer Lloyd Hanson to work with them on it.

Well the new album is finally done. The name is Waiting to talk and it will be released on August the 18th. Yes it is finally here so on August 18th go get it and suport BT.
