BACKGROUND
A 6-1 point guard, Mike is the son of former NBA player and college coach
Henry Bibby. Led Arizona to a national championship as a freshman and
entered the draft following his sophomore year and was selected by the
Vancouver Grizzlies second overall in the 1998 NBA Draft. Traded to the
Sacramento Kings before the 2001-02 season, and was one of the main factors
the Kings made it to the brink of the NBA Finals when it lost to the eventual
champs Los Angeles Lakers in overtime of Game 7 of the Western Conference
Finals. He hit big shot after big shot in that series and now considered
one of the premier point guards in the league.

Averaged 13.7 ppg (.453 FG%, .370 3pt%, .803 FT%), 2.8 rpg, 5.0 apg, 1.09
spg, and 33.2 mpg in starting all 80 games in which he played ... Ranked

COLLEGE:
At the University of Arizona, Bibby was named Pac-10 Freshman of the Year
after averaging 13.5 points and 5.2 assists per game and leading Arizona
to the NCAA Championship. He started all 34 games for the Wildcats and
tallied 20 points apiece in the NCAA Semifinal game against North Carolina
and the NCAA title game against Kentucky. He also posted a career-high
nine rebounds against Kentucky and finished the NCAA Tournament with marks
of 18.0 ppg, 4.8 rpg and 3.3 apg, and a .486 percentage (18-for-37) from
three-point range. As a sophomore ue earned First Team All-America honors,
was named Pac-10 Player of the Year and finished third in balloting for
the Wooden Award after averaging 17.2 ppg, 5.7 apg, 3.0 rpg and 2.40 spg.
Bibby elected to file for early entry to the 1998 NBA Draft following
his sophomore year.
