Information: This trojan horse causes a system tray icon to appear that keeps informing you that your computer is infected. It most of the time also comes with a Rouge spyware removal application known as Spyfalcon. It is annoying and will take a little time to get rid of.
Removal: You can try some anti-malware software, but here is what worked for me...
To remove this Trojan you will need these tools: SmitFraudFix and The Free trial of Ewido Anti-Malware(Don't worry this will not cost you any money). You may want to copy these instructions for the removal process.
After you download the tools needed for removal please install, run, and update the Ewido program with the latest definitions and copy these instructions to a text file, restart your computer in safe mode. To do this during your computers load time you will need to keep tapping F8 until a screen shows up with a list of modes. Choose Safe Mode.
Now you will need to go to the SmitFraudFix folder and run SmitFraudFix.cmd, choose option #2. After this you may be asked up to two questions, answer yes by typing y and pressing enter in both of them. After this process finishes you will need to restart your computer in SAFE MODE again.
Now open up the Ewido Program, do not run the scan yet. Now we will need to close out windows explorer. To do this press Ctrl+Alt+Delete. Click on explorer or explorer.exe and End Task/Process. Now it is time to run the scanner. Click scanner in the Ewido Anti-Malware program and run a Full System Scan. After this scan finishes you may close out Ewido and restart your windows normally and you shouldn't have any problems after that.
