
Naythan Brooks began his training in martial arts at the age of four. Under the Terry Moris and J. Pat Burleson (green berret veteran) he studied Eastern boxing, kickboxing and grappling. After recieving his first Black Belt at age eleven his skills matured and was ready to learn the essence of martial arts. Disciplined by his father (theologian and musician) and trained by his grandfather (student of Morihei Ueshiba 'founder of Aikido' and World War II Veteran) and his Uncle (student of Soke Hatsumi '3rd grandmaster of bujinkan ninpou' and Marine veteran'). With his familes' training Naythan Brooks learned Daito Ryu Aiki (nidan 'second degree black belt'), koppo (ichidan 'first degree black belt'), Taijutsu (nidan "second degree black belt') and military martial arts. One day when Naythan was 17 his uncle introduced him to a man he studied Kokyu Budo (traditional japanese martial arts) named Yokotoshi Ashigi. His uncle advised that Naythan learn from him and so enthused Naythan did not deny his request. Since Naythan has studied IaiJutsu, (Art of drawing the samurai sword) and Zen. Following these many example plus that of Robert Anderson (student of Bruce Lee) and Mila Duldt (philosopher and artist) Naythan was able to gain a broad perspectve of martial arts. Naythan began his interest in film at age nine and acted in his first role at age eleven in an independant film titled "The Last Supper". The film saw some small success in film festivals in the United States and Europe but this did not Naythan still aspired to act. He attended private drama lessons from Paul Alson (director) and Forrest Denbrau (actor) for three years and acted, performed stunts and composed score music for them during this period. Since Naythan has aspired to share his spiritual view of martial arts and the world through the art of film.
