Silent Voices
"There is no revenge so complete as forgiveness." Josh Billings (1818 - 1885)
Recent statistics show that rape and sexual assault are crimes in which victims remain silent, (for many reasons) and are therefore not receiving the necessary support to overcome such a violent crime.
My name is Patricia. I was a victim of rape at the age of 16. Just like many of you viewers reading my website, I too remained silent. But today I am making my voice heard. Unfortunately, justice was never served, but I have the knowledge to help other survivors receive their justice and make their voice heard. I am currently developing an organization designed to help survivors of rape and sexual assault as well as curb this violent crime.
I would like to hear from every visitor, (whether you yourself are a survivor or you know someone that has survived this crime). I am going to change the system so future victims of violent crimes will report these crimes. I have been in your position and would like to hear your story, any suggestions, or to chat.

According to Women's Safety Project, (Randall and Haskell, 1995) As many as 1 in 3 girls and women will be sexually assaulted in her lifetime.
As many as 1 in 6 boys will be sexually assaulted by the age of 16.
Anyone can prevent victimization
- Be Sensitive. Would you want this crime to happen to your mother, wife, daughter, or son? Treat every survivor with the respect as you would if it happened to your wife, daughter, or son.
- Never center around how to prevent this crime....by doing this you justify a rapist's actions when someone is not "preventing" themselves.
- No one is asking for this to happen to them.
