I’ll begin this page with my own story. I have had many experiences myself. Every since I was nine I have heard or seen strange things. This happened a year ago. My husband, Paul and I had bought a house a year ago this Oct in IL. Before we moved in I did a lot of cleaning and painting when Paul was at work. On my days off I went there alone many times. This one time, I was up on the ladder painting the living room a lavender color. As I was really getting into it my mind wondering I heard a woman’s voice cheerfully say, “Lavender, I would have preferred it in my bedroom.” It startled me. Again after we had moved in Paul was at work and I had some friends over to work on our wedding flowers. My male friend was going to exchange a light socket for me in the utility room that I had just redecorated. I told him he couldn’t do that until he turned off the electric. He argued the point. I said it was my home and it was going to be turned off. We were standing in the kitchen arguing (talking) about this and suddenly the kitchen drawer came flying out from its place. And landed in the middle of the kitchen. We exchanged a look. I said, “ Looks like your out numbered. The electric goes off!” And so he agreed and turned the power off to replace the light.

I know it was Helen, the woman who used to live here. Helen and her husband built this little home. We’re the second owners. I have done a lot of painting in this home. Removing a door in the pantry and replacing it with curtains. We love this little home. I think now they know this, they may leave only coming for visits on occasion.
