I'm Margaret -- 18, female, and excited, if not terrified of leaving home for college in the fall. I'm off to Hendrix college to embark on a new strain of life, hopefully leading, eventually, to Washington University in St. Louis for medical school.

      Now that highschool is over I realize how much I am going to miss it. Not the classes, or really even the people, though there are exceptions for both, but just the atmosphere, the teachers, the breaks, the unity. By the way, Mrs. O, my offer still stands.

      I guess the hardest thing, though, will be branching out from all my friends, and moving so far away from Jesse, my boyfriend of nearly a year.
