Malek Blackwinter-
From birth onward, Malek has always had a fascination with magic. He grew up in Mamogras and studied the arcane arts there. He was born with a hint of dragon blood and naturally became a sorcerer. As he progressed, he ventured out of the city. The wizards of Mamogras sent him to search for an hierloom known as the Golden Orb of Dragonkind. It had been in possession of the wizards, but was stolen by a rebel as the war started. He went in search of this orb for them and soon found it in the hands of a man carrying a child. The man also had strapped to his side a book. The book was covered in decayed black rotten flesh. At this time, Malek was 14 years of age. He went up to the man and challenged him for the token. All he wanted was the orb. The man set the child down and grabbed the book. He began chanting from it and Malek felt an urge of hatred in him. The man finished casting the spell and handed over the orb. Malek ignored what happened and went straight to the wizards of Mamogras. He started walked to the building and felt the urge of hatred again. As the wizard who sent him there came out, used the orb instead of handing it to him. Fire shot out of the orb and the wizard was gone within an instant. Malek saw what he had just done and got away with it. He took advantage of the situation and ran back to the place where he found the man. The man was in fact waiting on him. Malek lusted for more and the man declared his last name "Blackwinter." He handed the child to Malek and called the child his son. Malek, though he was only 14, called him Skell Blackwinter. Soon, Malek found out what the man's name was. Asmodeus. He became interested in the arts that this "Asmodeus" posessed. He became the first and only disciple of Asmodeus and found a lot more out about him. Through the corruption of that mysterious book, Malek became stronger and stronger. He desired more and decided to make a house of the blackwinter family. He started fast, accepting everybody in his grasp, but slowed down eventually to make the guilds more secluded. None of the Blackwinters were other than humans. What Malek's goal is, is to have enough people to become worshipers of Asmodeus and then he would extract there soul's and give it to Asmodeus for an army built for an empire. Currently, he has 4,500 strong everywhere in the world. A few, however, are completly against him or despise him personally. Those few are peons compared to what Malek is. Nevertheless, they train under him in hopes to gain enough might to crush him. 3 of those rebels, Dervish, Zelzar, and his own son, Skell, have escaped his grasp. Malek isn't too worried about Skell, as he is capable of doing what he pleases, but Skell hates Malek to the core and Malek doesn't realize this. Dervish is also among the list of rebels. Malek decided to dump him off in the south, the deep south somewhere. He was about to be shot, but by his skills, they couldn't hit Dervish. Dervish is now in a settlement in the middle of nowhere. The people there are hospitable, but some still don't know about Dervish. Others trust him with there lives as he had saved a few from yeti's before. Dervish, and Skell plot against Malek and his plans. Those two are the only two that know of Malek's soul stealing plan. Zelzar, however, is a rather rambunctious rogue. He soon found out that he doesn't take orders from anyone and decided to run away. He snuck into the Blackwinter house with his information on it and stole the contract. He snuck back out and ran to the nearest city. Zelzar has had a bad enough life as it is, and that's a whole different story, so he decided to make end's meat on his own. He grabbed his sword, his armor, and headed off to a guy named Quik. He is currently investigating some warrens trying to find some help with hiding from Malek. Malek still doesn't know of Zelzar's dissapearence, but many at the Blackwinter house are investigating.
