Sites I Am Associated With

The Modern Word's Scriptorium (Nicholson Baker Scriptorium Page forthcoming)
This is one of the most valuable resources out there for 20th Century post-modernist literature. Aside from its seven major author sites (Beckett, Joyce, Kafka, Pynchon, Eco, Borges, Mrquez), there is a "Scriptorium" for smaller pieces on influential or inventive 20th-century authors. I have started work on a Scriptorium page for Nicholson Baker.

The Noise
I have been published in this Boston-area rock music 'zine. Check the "Music Writing" section of this site for more information.

Nomasonha
I will soon be published in this Massachusetts/New Hampshire music 'zine and will probably continue my serious music work with it. Check the "Music Writing" section of this stie for more information.

The Craters
I wrote a review of their CD (look under "press review") that started my music writing career.

Ferkedup
This is a quote site I started a couple years ago. By now it's expanded to a few other funny pages and is maintained by my sister. I barely make an appearance anymore, but it's still funny as hell.

Leo's Lyrics
I've submitted (with help) about 3,000 lyrics to this site (look over to the right for the Top Submitters; my handle is Laughingtree). Over 100 of them are original transcriptions not seen elsewhere on the internet. I've done all the lyrics by Sleepyhead, Butter 08, Steadman, Ester Drang, Ms. John Soda, The Faint (lyrics from "Blank-Wave Arcade," "Media," and "Wet From Birth"), Junior Boys, Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks, Stephen Malkmus, The Escapologists, and The Campfire Girls (lyrics from "Tell Them Hi").

My Amazon Picks
Alright, it's not a particularly legitimate website, but I've made several lists on Amazon.com about literature and music. If you want to view them, look to the left. My handle is "spawnpride." Some of it is repetitive, but I have some stuff to offer. I quite like my lists on the Best Music Out There, Electronica/Mellow Music, and Mindscrews.

geek!
This is an on-line clique dedicated to sites made by "geeks." Now, I'm not so sure what a "geek" is technically, but it seems that it's anyone who has an obsession with anything. Such as my random literature-related debris. So I fit.

Newton South Gay/Straight Alliance
The Gay/Straight Alliance is a high school group promoting tolerance and awareness for gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender issues and events. I am the current leader of Newton South's GSA.

Nicholson Baker on Wikipedia
Wikipedia entry about Baker and his works. Much of the information is taken from this website.

Nicholson Baker: Reviews, Articles, and Responses
I believe the site's title is sufficiently self-explanatory. Quite useful if you're looking for his journalistic stuff.

Salon Interview with Nicholson Baker
Salon.com is an excellent site for interviews with authors, and it won't let you down on this one.
