JOHN ALLEN

John Allen graduated from Coatesville Area Senior High School (CASH HOLLA) in the spring of 2001. He played basketball for CASH and holds many records to this day, including the All Time Scoring Record he stole from Rip. He led our team to a PIAA AAAA State Championship, along with a Distric 1 AAAA title, and a Chest-mont championship in 2001. If you ever saw him play at Coatesville you would understand why he is famous in my mind. He currently plays shooting guard for Seton Hall University. Thankfully, Seton Hall is in the Big East Conference and so is Pitssburgh, so I have an opportunity to conitue watching "Tootie" play! I wish him the best of luck in his college years and hopefully we will see him in the NBA playing against the next famous Coatesvillian.

RICHARD "RIP" HAMILTON

Richard "Rip" Hamilton graduated from CASH in the spring of 1996. When he graduated Rip held the all time scoring record for Coatesville until 2001 when John Allen surpassed him. Rip went on to play for the University of Connecitcut and led them to a NCAA Championship in 1999. He was honored as the "Most Outstanding Player in the Final Four" during the tourney in '99. Rip left college ball after his junior season and entered the NBA draft. He was drafted by the Washington Wizards as the 7th overall pick in the draft. He was an average guard for the Wizards during his two season. Rip began to show promise during his third season with the Wizards scoring a career high 20 points per game. Michael Jordan, however, felt it would be good to trade him to the Pistons for Jerry Stackhouse. Stackhouse came to the Wizards and has been off and on due to injury. Rip is now a leader for the Pistons and keeps them in play-off contention every year. He is still a young player and his career is only in the begining stages. He is averaging 17 points per game for his career as of right now. I am excited to see what he is capable of acomplishing in the upcomming seasons.
