- Fighting Arts
•Tai Chi - This style is a method of self defense. Practitioners of the art are taught the methods of the Tao Religion, where one should use your strength to defend others, but avoid combat if possible. A pacifist art, which teaches the natural flow of life energy, or Chi, and uses the attacker(s) force against them.
•Wushu - Wushu can be described as a type of ballet martial art. Consisting of many flips, spins, and rapid attacks. A very graceful and aggressive art, where training must be taken up at an early age, or the natural human body won't be able to adapt to its rigorous style to its full potential.
•Kung Fu - One of the most versatile methods of unarmed combat. Kung Fu has many styles within itself, also taking some teachings from the Tao Religion. Kung Fu can either be very aggressive, or very passive, depending on the master/practitioner. But in every case, the end result is the same.
•Wing Chun - Developed by a female monk of the same name. This style uses rapid chain style punches and mid-air kicks. A Wing Chun master fights in a straight line, but can divide this straight line into many others, thus enabling him/her to defend against multiple opponents.
•Bok Pai - Also known as White Crane, Bok Pai uses many awkward stances that mimic the White Crane in combat. The Philosophy of Bok Pai can be summed up in four words: Sim, Jeet, Chun, Chon (Evade, Intercept, Penetrate, Destroy). The master of Bok Pai would allow the opponent to attack first, and then intercept the attack, rather than moving head on into battle. Attacks include sweeping arm movements, round kicks, and continuous circular movement.
•Ch'In Na - The art of seizing can either be disabling or deadly. Methods of attack focus on tendons, nerves, joints, and muscles of the body. A precursor to Jujutsu or Aikido, this style is a method of wrestling and grappling, though there are still strikes involved.
•Ts'ui Pa Hsien - A very deceptive style to say the least. Ts'ui Pa Hsien is famous for its method of "Drunken Fighting." A master can actually manipulate the movements of an intoxicated person, to throw off his opponents from the fact that he may be a possible danger. -
•Fong Ngan - The Phoenix Eye martial art refers to its method of striking, as well as the eye-to-eye contact one tries to make with the opponent while fighting. The idea is to generally force the opponent to make wrong movements, making simultaneous attacks to crowd the opponent, and retreat is discouraged among masters.
•Fu Chiao Pai - Otherwise known as Tiger Style martial arts. This art is mainly strength and endurance based, focusing on aggressive full strength attacks, charges, and leaps. A master will always keep in close combat range, using claw strikes (Like that of a Tiger) only when the time is right.
•Kuo Chuan - Also known as Dog Boxing is another very deceptive art. Practitioners are encouraged to fight with the "spirit" of the animal, and even mimic its four legged stance, and even bark and whine like a dog. Kuo Chuan masters don't normally attack first, and when they're attacked, they immediately drop down to all fours and pretend to be hurt like a dog. If the opponent continues the attack, immediate counter strikes will follow.
•Lee Kwan Choo - Lee Kwan Choo is a very peaceful martial art. You cannot hurt anyone using this art, and even its attacks are used to subdue opponents, and control battle, without injury. The method of combat is usually avoiding strikes, and leaping away from combat, hopefully to wear out the opponent. Lee Kwan Choo in itself can't be modified, but its methods can be carried over to other arts (Like that of any martial art.)
•Hwarang Do - Stressing the Balance of 'Nae Gong' Internal power, and 'Shing Gong' mental power, Hwarang Do teaches a form of hard and soft combat. A practitioner of Hwarang Do will let an opponent attack first, and allow him/herself ample time to study the opponent's style. When he/she is ready to strike, they'll counter attack with a completely different style of strikes, normally being a barrage of powerful low and high kicks. The focus is to keep battle flowing, as the master moves around the opponent continuously while attacking.
•Karate - This style is mainly used by warriors known as the Samurai. The art consists of various low and high stances, keeping the feet planted to the ground to maintain a strong sense of balance. Once balance is achieved, a practitioner of Karate can deliver many serious and powerful strikes which have the potential to break through solid objects.
•Aikido - Aikido is an art that allows the opponent to attack first. A master fighting an opponent won't stop his attacker from punching, but will help his punch flow further, possibly farther than he/she originally intended; which would leave the opponent vulnerable to attack. The same methods are used when defending against armed opponents as well, and since there aren't many strikes in Aikido, this art is mainly used to control a conflict, a not to kill anyone.
•Jujutsu - Jujutsu is a no holds barred "whatever works" style of fighting. Practitioners focus on the vital points, locking joints, and throwing their opponents around in order to attain victory. Jujutsu masters can be described as very difficult people to hurt, because of their increased body mass in muscle.
•Taijutsu - A form of open hand combat used by a group of warriors known as the Shinobi. This style involves vital point strikes, joint strikes, and submission or kill techniques. This style though is mainly used to end battle quickly, by attacking the opponent with a strong enough strike, that if they survive, they'll be less encouraged to follow.
•Koppojutsu - The art of bone breaking. Needless to say this is an incredibly aggressive style of fighting. Students are taught vital points in the body around bone structures, where then they are taught to strike by either striking those points with either foot or fist, or grappling with their opponent to snap a victim's target bone into a compound fracture.
•Dai Ichi Do - Twenty One Paths is an armor style of combat. What this means is, that a student is taught to fight with masterful skill while wearing a suit of armor. Developed to fight opponents who use bows, crossbows, or magical attacks.
•Tae Kwon Do - Tae Kwon Do is an art similar to that of Hwarang Do. Consisting of mainly kick techniques, with very few hand techniques. Tae Kwon Do is also known as the flying martial art, where certain masters are actually able to maintain their balance in mid-air while delivering powerful leg strikes to their opponent(s).
•Capoeira - Capoeira is a refined martial art disguised as a dance. It also involves a lot of acrobatic prowess. All routines of the art consist of fighting while being restrained by manacles. This method of training comes from its origin, being developed by a nomadic human tribe which were forced into slavery. The art can also be used with small blades, such as knives and daggers.
•Inermis - Another Northern style art, which derives its philosophy of southern style martial arts into its teachings. This unarmed combat can be described as an advanced form of free style street fighting. However, the more advanced practitioners of Inermis focus on out-punishing their opponent, by directly striking vital areas of the body, and as many times as possible on a single or multiple opponent. Thus removing them quickly from battle.
•Judo - Judo is a form of grappling and control of battle. It's normally passive, but can be used as an aggressive style of combat, to seize an opponent, and weave them into a submission hold. Most practitioners of Judo however let the opponent to attack first, allowing them to make a mistake and be pulled into flips, holds, or just pushed away.
•Boxing - Boxing is an ancient form of combat, which only uses the fists. Boxing builds a lot of physical endurance and upper body strength. Masters of Boxing are formidable opponents, since Boxing is very closely related to general brawling.
•Muay Thai - An aggressive form of kick boxing, developed by southern settlers of Usher. The art builds strength and defense, as well as speed. Muay Thai is a very deadly art if one meets the right opponent, and many who face a master of Muay Thai end up crippled or dead.
•Hing Su To - A versatile martial art that can be very cruel or very merciful. Masters tend to decide the out come of the battle before its end in order to decide whether or not they should punish their foolish attacker or let them live with a valuable lesson. Attacks focus on the vital points and joints of the body, involving claw strikes, knife hands, snap kicks, and joint locks.
