Cos - Passiones (Gee Bee Dee 08-1804, Germany 1982) w/inner+booklet ex+/m- €25 little known fourth released on obscure German label
Faith - s/t (Brown Bag BBLI 49202, Italy 1973) ex/ex €15 funky rock Fantacy Hill - First Step LP (Prodigal P7-10022R1, US 1978) swoc EX/M- €15 Obscure rock band stranded on Motown label... Actually about half of this is funk rock, so its justified, but the other half is straight hard rock which must've confused people. Not to mention the awful name. Date on cover.
Helmut Hattler - Bassball (Harvest 32 523, Germany 1977) w/inner ex/ex €12,50 funky, bass heavy album from Kraan bassist
Material - Memory Serves LP (Elektra E1-60042, US 1982) ex/ex €12 Bill Laswell's experimental blending of funk, rock and jazz fusion. This is more jazz-tinged than the preceeding EPs, featuring a host of contemporary jazz guest musicians. Fred Frith also makes some telling contributions.
Steve Houben Mauve Traffic - Oh Boy (pp MD 035, Belgium 1979?) rw co ex(-)/ex OFFERS Steve Houben is a Belgian saxophonist, and Mauve Traffic is a sextet which includes all of Triode, Bill Frisell's first band. Half the compositions are by Frisell and this is probably his second recording date. Serious offers only.
Daniel Humair - Triple Trip Hip (Owl 014, France 1979) rw vg+/ex €19 Sleeve has some water damage (slightly wavey on the back cover) but is otherwise OK. Humair leads a fantastic vibes/bass/drums trio
Daniel Humair, Francois Jeanneau, Henri Texier - s/t (Owl 016, France 1979) foc m-/m- €19 This time it's Humair (drums) with Jeanneau (tenor/alto/soprano sax/flute) and Texier (bass). Another fantastic Owl release, this an impeccable near mint copy.
Kanguru - s/t (Marifon 296 034, Germany, 1981) ex/ex €10 half-speed master edition; disc has a tiny mark in the run-in groove ("dead wax") on side one which causes a click BEFORE the first track starts. This is not included in the grading! "Kängürü released two LP's at the end of the seventies. These shows strong fusion jazz inflences and contain some really interesting instrumental, funky rock tracks."
Herbie Mann - London Underground (Atlantic ATL 50032, Germany 1974) ex/ex €9 Herbie Mann backed by musicians in London including Mick Taylor, Albert Lee, Aynsley Dunbar and Ian McDonald. A decent addition to the Mann catalogue but not as successful IMO as his earlier collaborations. Predates his descent into disco, etc, and still worthy.
Jean Pierre Mas & Cesarius Alvim - Rue De Lourmel (Owl 03, France 197?) rw stoc vg(-)/ex €19 Quite rare now, but the sleeve has some water damage, which is made more obvious because of the predominantly white cover: small tears, grubby spots, stains, etc. Mas and Alvim are a piano & bass duo.
Barry Miles - Fusion Is... (Century CRDD-1070, Germany 1978) foc ex/ex €20 Slightly less funky and more electric jazz fusion than the excellent mid-70s Silverlight LPs
