Salix Alba - Oh Mama LP (Vogue CLPVB 230, Belgium 1973) foc ex/ex €29
Sallyangie - Children of the Sun LP (Warner Seven Arts WS 1783, US 1969) foc coh rubbing EX/EX €22 US original of classic 1969 UK folk-psych LP, featuring brother sister duo, Sally and Mike Oldfield, Mike still a teenager. A must for fans of ethereal UK acid folk with femme vocals.
Santoro (Angelo Noce Santoro) - For You LP (private GLP 7929, NL 1979) sticker on label ex/ex €25 first solo album, songs span 1971-79 (ex-Cosmic Dealer)

Warren Schatz - s/t LP (CBS 64681, NL 1971) EX-/EX €25 Better known now as a producer (Banchee, Yesterday's Children), Schatz had several mid-60 pop/rock singles on Tower as Ritchie Dean, and then formed a succession of studio groups (The Pendants, The Petrified Forest, The Warmest Spring, The Shapes Of Things, The Whispers) whose singles now turn up on 60s garage-punk comps. This was his debut solo LP. It's a mixed bag of styles, some good stuff, some singer-songwriter snoozes. Both this and his second LP from 1973 were issued in different territories with different covers, including Finland (2nd LP on Love/Trilogy LTRC-3; Love also licensed the Yesterday's Children LP Love/Trilogy Records LTRC-4), Brazil (2nd LP), Romania (1st LP, Electrecord ST-EDE 01001) and Poland (Muza SXL0937) to name a few. Schatz later worked as an orchestral arranger during the disco era and his name appears on many records. Like a less hip version of David Axelrod ! That's probably more than you ever needed to know about Warren Schatz. Anyway, this is the dutch CBS original of his first LP with fantastic front cover artowrk.
Schralen Tsjip en De Mussenschrik - Kennekik aa van ieverans? LP (Monopole MLP 808, Belgium 1976) foc ex/ex €25

Second Skin - First Life mini-LP (Universe TURN 3, NL 1982) ex/ex rw/stoc; promo w/biog €25 Crunching bluesrock trio on small dutch indie Universe Records. Recordkingz are currently selling this for £35 (€50+) describing it as follows: "SUPER FAT DUTCH DRUM BREAK (LIKE STUNT ROCK). WICKED LP." Drop me a line if you can explain what 'fat', 'wicked', 'beatheads' and 'heavy ass' mean.
The Section - Forward Motion LP (Warner BS 2714, Oz 1973) ex/ex €15 LA studio muso jazzrock outing with Craig Doerge (all keyboards incl. organ, moog, piano), Danny Kortchmar (guitar), Leland Sklar (bass), Russ Kunkel (drums) and various guest percussionists.
Sensations Fix - Vision's Fugitives LP (All Ears SF 11478, US 1977) w/inserts, st m-/m- €39 This is a perfect copy of the very hard to find fifth or sixth LP, more experimental than previous works, delving into ambient terrains at times.

Sandie Shaw - The Sandie Shaw Supplement LP (Pye NSPL 18232, Australia 1967) unipak foc ex/ex €22 Nice copy of original Australian pressing.

Shoes - Greatest Hits LP (Polydor Medium 236 813, NL 1969) flipback sleeve ex/ex €15 Not the US power pop band, this is the dutch 60s pop/rock group comparable to The Hollies with some psych-pop moves. Shub Niggurath - Live K7 (Auricle AMC 035/#89.001-4, UK 1989) m/m €12 Official live tape released on the Freeman brothers Auricle cassette label.
Frank Sinatra - Watertown LP (Reprise FS 1031, Germany 1969) ex/ex €12 I bought this out of curiosity because of the Jake Holmes/Four Seasons connection but it sounds just like any other Sinatra LP to me -- painful. Apparently quite hard to find, this is the one and only German pressing from 1969, with the tri-colour Reprise label but with a pic of Frank in the smallest of the 3 sections of the label. Sisa - Qualsevol Nit Pot Sortir El Sol LP (Zeleste/Edigsa UM 2021, Spain 1975) w/insert rw wobc ex/ex €30
Sisa - La Magia de L'Estudiant LP (Edigsa UM 2050, Spain 1979) w/insert; stoc/ew/rw ex-/ex €30 Sleepy Hollow - s/t LP (Philips 6369 251, France 1972) +inner ex/ex €35 Obscure late Beatles/Badfinger influenced US rock, housed in a beautiful cover. Comparable also to Poet And The One Man Band (which I also have for sale). Issued on Family Production in the US, this is the rare French issue.
Jimi Slevin - Freeflight LP (Claddagh CCF 7, IRL 1982) ex/ex €75 Rare solo LP from Peggy's Leg guitarist.
Sly & Family Stone - Greatest Hits LP (Epic EPC 32279, Holland 1970) later issue ex/m- €10 Originally issued in 1970 after four albums, this is a later, undated press of this singles collection which includes "I Want to Take You Higher", "Dance to the Music", "You Can Make It If You Try" and non-LP singles "Hot Fun in the Summertime", "Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Again)" and "Everybody Is a Star". Joyous funky psychedelic soul music.

(Soft Machine) Gong & Soft Machine & Family - s/t 2xLP (Byg 529201 / Actuel Vol.201, France 1973) foc EX/EX €49 I believe this recycles various BYG recordings by Gong, Soft Machine, Daevid Allen et al, but I'm unsure of the exact makeup and the squiggeldy liner notes are too hard to follow. One side is definitely all Soft Machine, the other 3 are presumably Gong and friends. Beautiful cover.
Soixantes Etages - Wheatfields LP (33 Revipermi 9001, France 1990?) tss m-/m- €30 Debut by ground-breaking French free rock ensemble. Hints of post-RIO and post- NYC guitar abuse, but with a distinct French otherness. A strange, fantastic and powerful LP. File alongside RWA and Voodoo Muzak.
Spontaneous Combustion - Triad LP (Harvest SW-11095, US 1972) die-cut cover +inner ew/dh EX/EX €24 Fantastic progressive hard rock with some gentler, more melodic moments. Side one is especially good. Hard to find as a UK press. This US edition has the same die-cut design. For 70s hard rock fans a la Ginhouse.

Steamhammer - s/t LP (Bellaphon BI 15134, Germany 1969/1970) green cover EX/EX €39 Bellaphon issue of debut... this was issued in two covers, one brown/sepia-tinted and one green. Jamie Stone - New Day LP (EMI IEMC 6001, IRL 1974) pre-release PS + photo ex/ex OFFERS Irish singer songwriter, real name Carl Corcoran, married to Rosemary Taylor who made the elusive "Taylor Maid" LP. This is a promo copy of his 1973 debut LP. It was an advance copy sent to a music journalist in a "Listen To This Envelope" sleeve, with stickers, etc, but no original cover. Spawned one single "Gulliver".

Stray - Stand Up And Be Counted LP (Dawn DNLS 3066, UK 1975) +insert ex/ex €30 rare Dawn original with insert, getting very hard to find. This was the band's sixth LP and probably the best outside the first three, thanks largely to the arrival of new guitarist Pete Dyer who injected some fire into what had become a somewhat tired-sounding band. But start with the first three LPs!
Stray Dog - While You're Down There LP (Manticore MA6-501S1, US 1974) co ex/m- €12 disappointing follow-up to the outstanding debut; Texas hardrock

(Thin Lizzy) Funky Junction - A Tribute To Deep Purple LP (Gold Stereo Award MER 373, UK 1973) EX/EX €30 Deep Purple covers "tribute" album recorded by Thin Lizzy (Lynott-Downey-Bell lineup) for a 'dodgy German businessman'. Note that vocals are not by Lynott, they're by Bernie White, singer with an unrecorded Dublin band called Elmer Fudd. To avoid disappointment, I should point out that some tracks are pretty bad(!), but there's good stuff too and this is an essential purchase for early Lizzy fans IMO.

Trees - Garden of Jane Delawney LP (Decal LIK 15, UK 1970/1987) ex/ex €45 Hard to find late 80s issue, still the only official vinyl reissue of this classic folk psych album. Originals cost a fortune these days but clean copies of this reissue now sell on ebay for a tidy sum.

Johan Verminnen - s/t (2nd) LP (Biram Records 6450 903, Belgium 1972) foc EX/EX €25 Unknown outside Belgium/Holland, Verminnen (vocals/guitar) made some interesting vlaamsrock albums in the 1970s. This is his second with heavy involvement from Raymond van het Groenewoud and guest Burt Blanca.
Village Green - Our Generation LP (Triskel TRL 1004, IRL 1978) vg+/ex €25 There aren't that many Irish celtic rock LPs from the 70s. There are lots of singles which would make a great comp but not that many LPs -- well this is half of one. Just over half the tracks are comparable to Horslips, Spud, Keltic Wine, Mushroom, the Rascals, mid-70s Skid Row even; the rest is folk rock, nice enough but nothing special. A tough one to find. Triskell was a Dolphin and like all late 70s records on this label, the cover is wafer thin and has suffered soem edgewear and creasing as a result: no tears or rips, no seam splits, no writing, just a little but aged. Recommended to Horslips fans -- there's even a perfect Horslips copycat track.
Andreas Vollenweider - Caverna Magica LP (VeraBra/CBS 25265, Holland 1983) m-/m- €15
Water - The Second Day LP (Philips 6410 081, NL 1975) ex/ex €12 Dutch progressives, melodic, flowing, easy on the histrionics... I quite like these two LPs but I have 10,000 LPs now and I just gotta sell some of them! Second Day is their first LP -- does that make the title a pun?
Water - Damburst LP (Universe Special Products/Vertigo SP-2/6816 002, NL 1976/1979) ex/ex €12 Second album; second, 1979 press which is rarer than the original (also check out Universe's little seen Mr.Albert Show reissues).
Kit Watkins - Labyrinth LP (Strawberry Records SRLP105, Norway 1982) stoc EX/EX €15 Solo (but with a real drummer!) ambient/progressive recordings from ex Happy The Man / Camel keyboard player. Small sticker tear.

A nice copy of this bluesrock/hard rock LP with some psych touches.

back cover Yes - Yes Years VIDEO (PAL/VHS) (Warner 8536 50250-3, Europe 1991) ex/ex €10 2+ hours of material spanning the bands career to date (the Union tour) with the emphasis firmly on the 70s years, which takes up well over half the running time. My only complaint would be that Patrick Moraz is not interviewed or given enough credit (Relayer is THEE under-rated Yes album IMO). An absolute must for die-hard fans, I'm only selling this because I have it on DVD now. Highly recommended.

(Yes >>) Johnny Harris - All To Bring You Morning LP (Warner K46187, UK 1973) ex/ex €20 Johnny Harris did soundtrack and 'lounge' stuff in the 60s and 70s. I don't know much about this scene but he'd be considered a couple of notches below David Axelrod. Movements is usually considered his best album. This album may be his 'rock' LP; it includes several rock musicians like Chris Spedding but most interesting is the presence of Jon Anderson, Steve Howe and Alan White of Yes, most particularly on the 14 minute title track (the best track on the album) which also turned up on the Yes sideprojects bootleg CD of a few years ago. Other players include Pete Kirtley (guitar), Colin Gibson (bass) and Steve Gregory (sax, flute) who all went on to play on Alan White's Ramshackled LP in 1975. The relayer site reckons its "ultra rare" but I dunno about that. I'd say it's hard to find alright, and an unusual Prog/Lounge crossover album, so I think 20 euro is a very reasonable asking price. (Zappa) v/a - Mystery Disc (Zappa tribute) LP (Gus Records 1200/1, NL 1987) +insert €25 Zzebra - Panic LP (Polydor 2383 326, UK 1975) M-/EX- €9 Very excellent jazzrock elpee, not mindblowing but a superior example of the genre and the kind of thing I really like myself. Not too well known either so it's still cheap if you can find it. Notable presence of Tommy Eyre. This a nice minty copy until I noticed a weird zigzag mark at the start of size 2 dammit! It only affects the start but even so I've priced this way down. Crackily in places. Very bare sound compared to the UK issue. This is exactly what Tokyo Kid Brothers sound like to me, apart from the english vocal. Not my cuppa.

v/a - Song Of A Young Country. New Zealand Folksongs 2xLP (Kiwi Pacific SLC 101/102, NZ 1971) foc+booklet EX/EX €55 A fantastic find but as this is not really my taste I'm putting it up for grabs. This contains unique, exclusive Tamburlaine recordings. There's other good stuff here too and it's quite varied -- it's not all male ballad singers and acoustic guitars by any means. Artists include Neil Colquohoun, Driving Creek, Phil Garland, Dave Skinner, etc. Not names I know to be honest. Kiwi Pacific issued Tamburlaine's first LP "Say No More" the same year.
