Does life today seem too fast paced, with too many changes coming too quickly, seemingly faster and faster? What's going on? Is it because of the speed of modern communication? Today I can reach someone in New Delhi or Hong Kong in seconds on the Internet; the way things are going, maybe in my lifetime I can have Scotty "beam me up"! Our jobs seem to change from week to week; nothing seems stable anymore. Well, here's the reality: In the future, change will be so accelerated that these times will be regarded as "The Good Old Days"! Tomorrow will bring us an increasingly complicated world, faster changes, and incredible amounts of stress.
Most of us wish changes would go away, or at least slow down. We get comfortable in our familiar routines, and resist changes that seem to be just "change for the sake of change". We look for someone or something to blame it all on, when the reality is that we are not going to slow down at all. We have to adapt to change. If we can't change our situations, then we can change how we handle things, and SURVIVE!
These pages offer some suggestions to help you better deal with changes and to learn how to "go with the flow".
To everything there a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; a time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love and a time to hate; a time of war and a time of peace.
