Seneca Valley Gallery Review
In the Seneca valley art gallery there are two featured artist. Mr. Shorr and Mr. B. Each has a very different and unique style that is shown in this essay. Mr. Shorrs art is much more realistic style of painting and shading. His art though mostly abstract it uses realistic style shading techniques. Mr. shorrs art seems more detailed and more abstract with emotion and meaning behind it. Mr. shorrs mediums are painting, ink, charcoal and pencil. The thought that is put behind most of Mr. Shorrs work and the level of skill it expresses to be drawn from his mind is extraordinary. The complexity of the thought put into each piece is probably far beyond what would be expected at first glance and that to me is remarkable.
Mr. B has a more unrefined blotchy style and his main subject for his paintings seemed to be school sports. Mr. B had also done a more interesting style of photography with pictures that instantly caught your eye and raised questions. My favorite pieces by My. B are his photographs. The photo graphs can be parts of millions of situations that we can only begin to see and the can promote countless questions. Mr. B main medium seemed to be painting and prints. I think his best work is some of his photography.
I like Mr. Shorrs art more because it is more similar to my style and just looking at it teaches me a lot. His art expresses the feelings that I would like to some day be able to capture in mine. I also share the same interests in the medium Mr. Shorr uses. Although Mr. B art is very impressive and I also enjoy it a lot Mr. Shorrs art style interests me much more and it inspires me more then most art that I have seen. I enjoy all the meaning behind his art and all the feelings each can express.
