A weather proof portable incubator for birds and bird eggs.
Egg incubator
An egg incubator that is ideal for transporting fertile eggs or incubating eggs to the hatched stage.
The small, lightweight and portable incubator has been constructed from laminated thermo plastics that have excellent heat insulation. The incubator has a high impact shell that will give years of trouble free service.
Heating is supplied by six ceramic coil heaters that are molded into the floor cavity of the egg incubater.
Temperatures within the small egg incubator are maintained at the selected range. A thermostat will maintain this heat setting throughout the incubation period.
Power bill reductions for operating the incubator are achieved by using full body insulation and a modern construction method that reduces heat loss from the egg incubator.
The panels of the portable egg incubator are molded to bond into interlocking shells that are strong and light weight.
Ventilation for the compact and robust incubator is fully adjustable and the vents can be locked into the desired operating position.
Air filtration pads have been built into the ventilation system to provide additional protection against pollution or vermin attack.
An air flow protection guard has been positioned to the outside of the vent ports to prevent blockage. Protecting the air flow will allow the light weight incubator to be transported in back packs etc.

Collected eggs can be transferred to another incubator when returned to base or the incubation process can be completed in the portable egg incubator.
Small egg incubator
Transportation of valuable egg samples over long distances is possible. The portable egg incubator can maintain the required heat setting by plugging it into the cigarette power socket in a car or connecting the portable incubator to a battery.
If an additional power source is not available during transportation the small bird egg incubator will retain a safe incubating temperature for many hours if left enclosed.

Cleaning and disinfecting of the incubator is a simple operation. The inner incubating chamber is a one piece molded conical tube that will not harbor any bacteria or pests. The portable incubator can be fully submerged during cleaning.
Weather sealed detachable doors are used to enclose the incubator. The doors can be easily dismantled during cleaning to ensure that no contaminated areas are left untreated.

This is an ideal length for storing multiple small eggs or a collection of larger eggs and controlling the incubators temperature during transportation.
An egg container that is boxed shaped can be very difficult to transport safely.
The width of the portable egg incubator is only 4 inches ( 100 mm )and ideal for packing in a back pack, suitcase ect.
Light weight containers are required for economical transportation of goods.
When operating in the field or transporting eggs by physical means the strength and weight of the container is critical. The small egg incubator weighs only a few ounces and will withstand a fall from a height of over twenty feet (six meters) with no structural damage.
