color of our foods do mean
something. We do not necessarily
need a degree
in nutritional therapy to learn how
to use Food as our medicine.
It was Hippocrates
that said
“Let food
be your medicine and medicine your food”
The following is
a beginners guide for learning how
to identify what
nutritional needs
the body is asking for.
The body only
has one way of communicating with to
us when something
is out of
balance. That is through symptoms of
one kind or another.
We have given
all these multiply symptoms different names
according to their severity
and how it
effects us physically and emotionally. It
does not matter what the symptoms
are nor by what
name we call them. They are all
still just the bodies way of
communicating
with us telling
us something is out of balance.
By learning to
identify what the body is telling
us we can also know
which foods
we need to consume more of
in order to bring harmony and
balance back
to our bodies.
When all the systems within our
bodies are functioning properly it is
IMPOSSIBLE
to be sick.
Pain, sickness , discomfort, diseases are
all symptoms not causes.
Eliminate the cause and the symptom (effect) will take care of itself.
None of us
ever look at food of any
kind and say oh this has lots
of
Calcium, or
vitamin A, or B and
my body needs this today.
My bones are
telling me to consume more calcium
or my eyes are in need of
more vitamin A,
my stomach needs more sodium.
The Fact is
most of the earth population does
not even know about nutrients,
what they are
nor how they work in our bodies.
We just eat because we are either
really
hungry or
just because.
This is what
Nutritional Therapy is about.
Teaching us
what food is for and why we
are to eat certain foods.
This is to
help you learn about certain foods
without having to know
all
the technical stuff

Green Foods
Kale, Collards, Spinach,
Mustard Greens, Turnip Greens,
Swiss Chard, Parsley,
Broccoli etc.
All Dark Green Foods
are important to a healthy Body.
Any time our bodies
are in need of repair or healing
of any kind or nature.
We look to all the Dark
Green foods. The chlorophyll in these
dark green foods assist our
bodies in staying healthy.
These are very important foods
that we should consume daily.

Light
Green Foods
Celery, cucumbers, cabbage, brussels sprouts, etc.
Light green foods are natural
diuretics that regulate the water element
in
Our bodies. Since our
bodies are 98% water then we need
lots of these foods daily.
The water element in these
foods are loaded with abundance of nutrients
and enzymes which
our bodies require daily.

Foods
Squash all
types, Egg yolks,
Millet, etc.
Are cushioners or shock
absorbers
and are important to
our disc, joints, brain, any thing

absorbed shock, give is bounce
and flexability.

Red, Blue & Brown Foods
Beets, Cherries, Grapes, Blueberries, Raisins, Prunes, Figs
Improve the
quality and quantity of the blood.
The Blood is what carries
Nutrients to
the cells that our bodies are composed
of and what carries
Away waste matter
that the body cannot use. These
are high in iron
And iron is what
carries oxygen in our blood stream.
We are oxygen breathing
beings we have to
have oxygen in order to live
in on the Physical Plane of existence.
Iron gives
us more energy because of the oxygen
molecules attached to the iron molecules.
Any food that
improves the quality of blood is important
to the bodies natural immune system

White Foods
Onions, Garlic, Turnips, Parsnips,
etc.
are for our immune system,
bones and connective tissue.

This is really all there is to Good Nutrition
There is One Basic rule here, we have only to ask ourselves one question.
Is it a living
organism --- the food that God made
for us to consume
is already
whole and complete having everything we
need to sustain and support the
life force that
is in us.
Life can only
come forth from another living organism.
Dead food cannot
give life nor can life be sustained
by it.
If what we
are consuming grows in the field
and has a root system below
ground and foliage
above ground then it is given
us to eat. The plants absorb
the energy
of the earth in
the form of mineral through the
root system, and energy from the Sun
and converts this
energy from the sun into Vitamins
( A-B-C-D etc. )
All of which
our bodies require to sustain the
life force that is within our bodies.
We are in
fact consuming the energy of the earth
and sun every time
We eat any
type of fresh vegetable or fruit.
Grains like
Wheat , Corn, Rice, Beans etc. Are
what provide us with the
required proteins,
only it is the whole grain and
not the processed ones.
Fact: Proteins are
enzymes that have to ability to produce certain changes
without
itself changing. The
simple truth is the type and kind of
things we put into our bodies is what the
body uses to support and
sustain itself. Our body is what converts
the foods we consume
into flesh and blood
and energy.
It is one thing
to know all this and then put
it into practice.
Only what
we Actually put into practice will
work for us.
This is
so about all Truth. Only that
which one actually practices or does
can be of any
help or service to the individual.

at the Food we have all
the primary colors used to create
Master pieces of
any type of art.
Amazing isn’t it ????
Simply by mixing
a blending individual colors together we
Get a what
appears to be a totally different color.
So it is with
our individual lives.
Color does have
a tremendous influence and effect
on our lives
Whether we
are aware of it or not. Does
not in any way
Change its effects.

can appear to be quite Challenging
especially when it means
we must change
and alter our currant habits and attitudes NO matter

they are.

Our job is
to always honor the life force that
is within all of us.
If we
do this we can always rest in
full assurance that God Will
take of
everything that
pertains to our living-ness and total
well Being.
There are three
types of Food that our
bodies require in order to
function properly
.
Spiritual,
Mental, Physical
The physical foods is what this essay is about.
Our Mental diet
also plays a very important part in
our over all well being.
Which consist of
thoughts, feelings, attitudes.
Our Mental
Diet is what we allow the mind
to dwell on continually.
Our Spiritual
diet is of course the Most important.
But is at
the same time the lest misunderstood
and beyond the scope of this essay.
Just made
mention of it so as to
bring it to awareness.
