It was a hot humid night as I was walking back up to the house. Mo the pup I bought Avery was trying to walk and run in front of me falling every few steps. I had to laugh and watch him.Thinking back to when Avery named him the morning after she came back and woke up in my arms. When I got closer I saw her bare feet sitting on the banister of the porch as she was rocking in one of the rocking chairs. She never noticed me as I walked up the back way and stepped behind her causing the chair to stop.
"You smell like grass" her blue eyes leaned back and looked up at me. I moved so I could give her a kiss. I tossed my shirt on the chair next to hers and stepped in between her legs. As we kissed I felt her drag her hands up my outstretched arms that were on the chair handles.
"I been cutting grass" we broke apart enough for me to answer her. She pulled me back down for another kiss. I felt something fuzzy on my hand then her giggling causing us to break apart.
"Baby Mo wants some loving to." I leaned back taking the class of water she had waiting on me and watched as she held the pup. Smiling and laughing as it licked her face and whimpered for her attention. That part of Avery was the first part I feel in love with. Everyday there is something inside of her I fall in love with or discover that turns me and on more and more. Mo jumped down from her lap and ran into the house. My eyes stayed on her as she stood up pulling her shorts down and fixing her tank top. I knew that I was going to be the only one to have that body within my touch.
"Come're" I opened up my arms as she walked up taking my hat off and putting it on her head. She grabbed my glass of water and kissed my gently.
"I love it when you work outside and get all sweaty." she got dangerously close and gave me that look that got me every time.
"And why is that." I held her close to me playing under her tank top with the skin on the small of her back.
"Cause you wear this sexy cowboy hat and come up all sweaty and shirtless" She patted my chest and turned and walked back inside.

I just stood watching her make dinner before I headed to get my shower. All the boys knew not to come by tonight. Tonight was just me and Avery. When I came back down stairs I saw the cowboy hat hanging on the bottom post of the stairs. I turned into kitchen. The table was set Mo was curled up in his little bed sound asleep and Buddy and Dude where laying playing with there toes. I grabbed a piece of chicken off the plate and walked into the laundry room. Avery was cleaning out the pocket to a pair of my jeans. She looked up at me shaking her head.
"That better not be some of that dinner I have been slaving away on" I finished my bite and grinned at her.
"It is good baby"
"June what am I going to do with you" she finished with my jeans and closed the washer.
"I can think of alot of things" I felt her tense up and then lean back against me as I kissed her neck.
"Tell me June you are going to love me like this for the rest of my life" She turned to look at me in her eyes I saw forever. It normally it scared me but now I wanted it. I wanted to change for her. To be a one woman man like I should have been to her before.
"Av baby I am going to love you better than I do now for the rest of your life." She smiled and snuggled into my arms.
"You smell good." I just held her as we stood in the laundry room. When I our eyes met I knew it was the right time.
"Av.. I want make lo..." she laid her finger over my lips and nodded her head. I lift her up in my arms. Her legs wrapping around my waist as I carried her up the steps to the bedroom. A light rain started to fall as I laid her down on my bed.

I felt her hand stop moving as her breathing evened out. I watched her as she slept in my arms her bare skin against mine. I listened as the light rain that turn into a storm and now back to a light drizzle played out on the roof. It was much like what we had just shared with each other. My hand moved to touch her shoulder as she moved in my arms wrapping herself tighter around me. I could feel how soft her skin and her lips still on mine burning to my soul and filling all the empty parts. I laid back and closed my eyes. Remembering the way she looked when she gave herself to me. The way she looked when she told me she would love me for the rest of her life. I had never had feelings this strong for a woman and still have her in my arms. I wanted to spend the rest of my life like this with her in my arms. Loving all of me not just want was good our always public. Right before I went off to sleep I heard her wake up and whisper she loved me. That sound I knew would stick with me the rest of my life.

I heard her feet hit the steps as I fixed a bowl of cereal. Her arms came around my waist.
"Morning June" I heard the happiness in her voice. She laid her head on my bare shoulder. I felt the warmness of her cheek.
"Morning baby" I smiled as my eyes meet her dancing ones as she stood in a pair of my boxers and one of my shirts wrapped up in the comforter. There was a glow around her almost like that of a angel.
That whole day we spent in each others arms showing the love we had tried to push back and ignore. I watched her from the bed as she got up taking the sheet with her. I reached over to the bedside table and pulled out the small box that had been burning a whole into my side since the day she came back. When she walked back in with Mo in her hands I laughed and moved over as she came back in the bed letting him play between us.
"Avery I need to ask you something." She looked up with her messy hair from us making love all day and smiled.
"Yeah baby what" She laid her head down next me looking into my eyes. I reached for he hand and held them in mine as we laid there looking deep into each others soul.

I held her hands in mine as the tears came down her face. No one seemed to exist on earth at that time. I wiped away a tear with my thumb as she smiled. I was impressing my self not losing it until I heard the words being spoke.
"Dale you make kiss your bride" I leaned in. Avery's hands wrapping around my neck as we shared heated kiss. Both of us breaking apart and laughing at the judge as he smiled and patted me on the back. We walked hand and hand out of the courthouse.
"June." she stopped me and turned so I faced her.
"Yeah" I looked down at our hands the only ring she had was her engagement ring.
"I prayed to God for him to send me that one I was suppose to love for the rest of my life and he sent me you and I know that this was meant to be." She kissed me in the parking lot in front of the courthouse. No friends and family no fancy dresses just me and Avery and our love that had made it through.
