Although the names you see in this
glossary are all capitalized, in chat ( mirc irc palace msn yahoo) Gor it is important to note that the names
of slaves, male or female, are used in lower case. Only the names of freepersons
are used with a capital letter.
For instance, if you are a kajirus (male slave)
who appears in a Gorean channel using the name Jael (instead of jael), then it
will be assumed by all there that you are a
Master. In some places, this can lead you to be
killed instantly.
In addition, you may see names like jael{T}, or jael-W-, or jael^D^,
some times you may even see this combination (K) <TS> jael. this sugnfise that a
slave is owned by a the person K who is a member of the community TS if the
letters fg ( first girl) sg ( second girl) or fb( first boy)1 sb( first boy )1
that are behind the slaves name represents the slave's poshion in the community
or if the Master , Mistress owns more than one slave there rank These
names indicate that the slave is collared by a Master or Mistress or the
community to witch they belong whose name begins with the letter
When in Gor, adapt your ways to the
conventions of Gor and be respectful of them and you will have no problem. Do
not expect the entire channel to acquiesce to your peculiarities.
Also, the following names are offered only as a suggestion for those of you
who do not already have a chosen identity. It is not necessary to have a
"Gorean" name from the books, or an Arabic / Hebrew / Persian name, as many
below are, to participate in on line Gor. What is most important is that you carve out
your own identity and distinct personality within the Gorean
community.
