           INFO:

Welcome back to Above Average’s NCAA Brackets, March

Madness. We now officially have until this THUR 3/19 to fill out our

Brackets completely.  Points and ALL picks are due by noon!  We

know millions in worked hours will be wasted filling out bracket

sheets and watching the games.  So let’s get started.

I use a unique scoring system, which keeps the pool interesting,

plus rewards those are able to picks the upsets. The scoring works

like this:  Each Round is worth a point value, you’ll times that point

by the SEED # of the team you picked to win. Assuming that team

wins, it looks like this:  In Round 2 you pick the #8 seed team to win

and they do, the math would be 8 * 2 = 16 points.

That simple.  Here’s the point value per round:

                                  ROUND 1 = 1 point

                                  ROUND 2 = 2 points

                                  ROUND 3 = 4 points

                                  ROUND 4 = 8 points

                                  ROUND 5 = 16 points

And the CHAMPIONSHIP Game = 32 points

Obviously it will be the person with the most points at the end of the

Tournament wins!  For a tie breaker, should there be a tie, we’ll use

The total points scored in the championship game. Then who is ever

Mathematically closest, would be our winner.  I have an “Example”

Bracket above.  I just need the numbers, team names at the end.

You can spell everything out, but it looks sloppy and takes up more

Time.  View that for simplicity.  Also know, that faxes don’t always

come out or print well, please verify with me that I received it and

can read it as well.  If anything, just ask me.

Good luck everyone.  Don’t forget, it all starts on THUR at 12pm!!

          THINGS TO KNOW

It’s 20 points an entry, enter as many as you like.  The top 3 point

Standers will win.  Payouts will be: 80% for 1st place, 15% for 2nd

Place, and 5% for 3rd place – of the total collected.  The Selection
