Constitution
of the Bodybuilding, Figure,
and Fitness Team of West Virginia University
The name of this organization shall be The Bodybuilding, Figure, and Fitness Team of West Virginia University.
The purpose of this organization shall be to provide a team effort toward producing a better appearance of West Virginia University Students through bodybuilding, figure, and fitness competitions.
Section 1. The voting membership of this organization shall be limited to organization members who are West Virginia University (Morgantown Campus) Students. These students may be part-time, full-time, undergraduate, graduate, medical school, or law school students.
Section 2. This organization will not deny membership on the basis or race, sex, age, disability, veteran status, religion, sexual orientation, color, or national origin.
Section 3. Membership fees will be collected at initial point of entry. Annual fee’s will be collected during the first two weeks of the FALL semester.
Section 1. The offices of this organization shall be President (Captain), Vice-President (Co-Captain), Secretary, Administrator, and Treasurer. All terms will last one semester. Elections will be held during dead week for the upcoming semester.
Section 2. The duties of Captain shall be to hold meetings, handle complaints, take responsibility for the teams actions, and oversee all other officers in the organization.
Section 3. The duties of Co-Captain shall be to take over Captains role when he/she is not present, provide input and feedback to Captain, and assure that all officers are satisfied.
Section 4. The duties of the Secretary shall be to take meeting notes, check mailbox, and manage information of the members. Secretary will provide e-mail on meeting notes to all officers within two days of meetings.
Section 5. The duties of the Administrator will be to obtain contest dates, information, and keep members informed on upcoming competitions.
Section 6. The duties of the Treasurer shall be to maintain the organizations bank account, collect fees, and balance funds.
Section 7. All officers who currently occupy an office will be exempt from paying membership fees.
Section 8. To hold an elected, or appointed office in this organization, a member must have at least a c (2.0) average at the time of election or appointment, and must be a full-time student. Furthermore, the member may not be on academic or disciplinary probation.
This organization will adhere to West Virginia University Code of Student Rights and Responsibilities.
