Tests are horrible. Wouldn't you agree? Everyday we're tested for some reason or another. Class tests and quizzes for school, standardized tests for school (even worse), pregnancy tests, drug tests, HIV tests...and the less common, relationship tests. Never heard of it? That's because you don't know you're taking the test until it's over.

Boy goes on vacation for a while without his girlfriend, (no out-of-state rules apply!) if he touches another girl--failed. Girl gets hit on by a hot guy while her boyfriend isn't in her presence, if she doesn't even mention her current spouse--failed.

But what's the test of a really great relationship?

Outside influences, temptations, anything that can be thrown in just to screw with your mind. This is all the stuff that can test you just to see if your really putting your whole self into a relationship. What about time you say? Ah, everyone gets old and grouchy...there really isn't a time test, it's really who gets grouchier first.

You may notice that just when relationships start to get good, there's always a catch. Oh wait, he can't perform in bed. Oh yeah, I forgot, she's a dumbass. Oh wait, she still has feelings for her old boyfriend. Wow, I really thought that rash would clear up...SORRY! There's always some little nit-picky test that makes you take a step back and say...What the-?

It may seem weird when it happens at first. Tons of cute, tan girls are hitting on your boyfriend and he calls during a fireworks show just to tell you how much he loves and misses you--he doesn't even have a second thought about the girls that just hit on him, he has you. Wait, did that just happen?

Few of your girlfriend's old boyfriends are coming back and all she can do is talk about you to them. She doesn't still have feelings for them? Wait, she only talked about you? To them?

This is the real test. Kind of a test of time, but more so a test of is it worth the time? Answer: Hell yeah it is.

You may think, "Well that's not fair! How can you take a test and fail it without even knowing you were being tested?!" All you have to do is pay attention, you'll see. Just when things start to seem weird--way too many people hitting on you or the past coming back to try and repeat itself--open your eyes. And by the way, if all you can think about this is "That's not fair!" Guess what? Life's not fair, get over it--the sooner the better.

We all go through life wasting our time on things that not even worth half a minute of our attention. So why waste any more time on something that you know after one of these tests isn't worth it? These tests are almost designed to save you effort that would've been wasted. You should really be thankful for them. Then again, if you fail...you may not be so thankful.

In life we may be tested to death, but most of the time it's for a reason. But whether it's a test of is it worth your time, or a test for that rash...Remember: The test isn't half as important as the results you get. But just for future reference, try to keep your eyes open for those tests, it may just help you out a little bit.
