Mission:  Success By six is an early childhood initiative of helping all children succeed for life. This will be accomplished by coordinating the services of numerous agencies to achieve measurable outcomes in the fields of health, education, safety and economic security.

WHAT DOES SUCCESS BY SIX DO?

Success by six improves Parenting skills, increases access to health services, and enhances basic leteracy skills to benefit families with children ages zero to six.

how do they do it?

Success by six indentifies the need of families and locates agencies to meet these needs. By focusing on a community movilization strategy, Success by six works within neighborhoods to change belief system, empower people and create relationships among neigbors that generate problem solving.

Why is it important?

By focussing on the quality of early childhood development, Success By six prevents greater long-term societal issues.

New born baby Package A package distributed to every new mom in Yakima County with over 10 items to help parents maximize their baby's growth and development.

CIRCLE OF SUCCESS

A program that trains college students to provide outreach in their own neighborhood organize parent clubs, and connect families to services, and provides them with a salary and child care.

SERVICES PROVIDER OUTREACH

Support provided to First Steps home visitors to help families learn about life skills, the importance of immunization and healthy development of children.

WORKPLACE PARTENERSHIPS

Work with human resources offices in private bussiness to provide employee packages to familes, create "lunch and learn" mmeting for new and expecting parents, and assist managment in fully supporting working families.

BUILDING ON SESAME STREET PROJECT

A bilingual training program for parents and providers that develops motor skills, social sills and language skills.
