Vibrant Colored Rose

The broken smile portrayed a tear
As a needle point knife pierced through me
The buffoon tricked my empty soul
Impelling my gullible mind to believe

Scream of sorrow coiled around me
Vulnerability slashed the uttermost hope
Despairing love vaulted the hippo
Smothering the vibrant colored rose

Deluded fibs of “I Love You’s”
Drained the repetitive life of words
Black lit night of a moonless day
Hides the truth of strange honesty

The colors fade as the water runs dry
Cycling till the mountains dance right
Dancing with the unripe orange
For love will never dance …
