I Yearn To Capture It

I patiently watch a movie on love
Contemplating this foreign emotion
I can’t say I experienced it
Nor wish to experience tears from it
but deep within this heart of mine
I yearn to capture it

Bewildered on the sequence of events
Or how to use a rope or reel
I’m sure if love ever comes around
I’ll know first hand what it is
I yearn to capture it

I don’t know what love is
It’s an unidentified feeling like some distant alien
Being twenty and confused on love
That’s a possibility, but
I yearn to capture it

Lust tricks you at times
Clouding your mind on what you want to find
Throw some tomatoes the curtains might fall
Hopefully you can distinguish love from lust
Cause, I yearn to capture it
