ChristmasTime

It’s that time of the year again,
the Christmas season bustling into our weeks.
With all the hype of giving gifts,
You can’t help but wondering.

Wondering what you’ll be receiving,
hopefully it’s some enlightenment for the New Year.
Wondering if you’ll be getting,
that special someone to cuddle with by the fire.

I sure got that someone,
though sometimes it’s hard to hug him.
I end up hugging the air instead,
at least Casper’s always there.

Maybe I’ll find someone to fill that void.
Maybe I’ll still have the emptiness to hug.
But no matter what, I still have you,
the one who redeemed me on this day
(though this was not his actual b-day).

Dollars fly out our wallets,
but you’re always in my heart, my soul, my mind.
My shepherd and my Jehovah Shalom,
you’re the reason for this joyous season.
