We rehash our fight, and forget the good times. Our harden hearts builds a tall fortress, our depleted friendship creates a bloody warfare. We're enemies from ourselves, the enemy of unforgiveness, let's just apologize to end this friendship warfare. I walk past you, trying desperately to ignore you. I just wanna give in and say I'm sorry, but giving in is so hard to do. I continue to walk, my head drooped down, trying to avoid eye contact. Its not that I'm mad, or resent what you've done, I'm only asking for apologies. Are you seeking an apology from me, or maybe we should both let our pride slip down and forgive one another. "Thinking can be a crime, especially when we dwell on our mistakes. It only creates more tension and hatred, and a barrier impossible to break." But with this in mind I still walk past, without a glance to my side, without a single sound, I'm not going to apologize first and destroy my pride.Back Home 9-18-03
