CIRCLE OF STONE
Above and beyond the raid rules of the raided home that we will respect unconditionally, this Raiding policy is also the guidelines for Raids on this Home.
We will ensure that a reasonable number of men are present in the attacked Home as part of the planning. If we outnumber the Defenders we will only use enough Attackers as is practical, also, no room with less than two Warriors will be raided.
Our Raiding party will be clearly identified with the Tags "C.O.S RAIDER" and C.O.S RAIDER LEADER" for the leader to whom any technicalities or problems should be directed to. We will not engage non-members within the attacked home unless they(non-members) engage to defend.
We will consult the site and map of the target to familiarize ourselves with the layout.
We will recognize any defender coming in during the Raid and joining in the fray if they are allowed to by the defending Home.
No warning at all need be given thought we will send a scout that will notify the Target and give a link to this page to ensure comprehension on a common base
"Missile/projectile" weapons might be used by Wagon poeple raiding parties, Arrows, quivas, lances might be used at the onslaught and during withdrawal within reason but close quarters combat will also be practiced to give everyone a little fun.
Upon entry we will declare our position and direction as well as our primary weapons to make it easier on the defenders to engage us but unlike a spar all weapons need not be declared , weapons may be produced at anytime within reason.Captures and or death Matches may be allowed provided there has been prior agreement between the leaders of both rooms.
NOTES
ON RAID POSTS
Posts should be kept as short as possible to maintain the flow of battle, posts should contain no more than three action or so and not exceed 3 of 4 lines
No killing or permanently disabling blows will be accepted unless pre agreement were made before hands for the possibility of such events. If such blows are struck, their impact should be minimized rather than ignored as to not interrupt the flow of the battle.
It is understood that during the confusion of battle... posts will unavoidably be missed from time to time. However, do try to acknowledge or defend against blows, bearing in mind what may be realistically possible.
Keep your focus on one battle and wait for your opponent to respond to your post in alternance with yours, it is confusing when Warriors waiting for a post engage another opponent it creates a network of simultaneous events that bog down the flow and pretty much bring things to a halt. Of course this is a flexible rule and hopefully common sense will prevail.
Posts should not included injuries or reactions of the opponent (force posts). Let the opponent react for himself and refrain from deciding what the actual blow has resulted in. Keep in mind these are "friendly" combats (if not otherwise pre-arranged) and none should take offense should mistakes or accidents occur. If Defenders use force posts it will be acknowledged gracefully by the attackers as it is their home and are granted the privilege of making a force post should they see the necessity of it to maintain the action realistic or usher it on the right way.
