The Company was incorporated on March 13, 1987 principally to engage in real property development and allied activities and to invest in real estate development companies. It is an innovative real estate firm that concentrates primarily on the property development of residential and commercial condominiums and townhouses within prime areas of the metropolis.

Ray Burton Development Corporation is one out of five (5) medium-sized companies collectively known as the Ray Burton Group of Companies.

Its first property investment and management company was established in January, 1951. It was later reorganized into two firms in May, 1980. These are Mercantile Investment Company and Producers Properties, Incorporated, respectively. The securities dealership, Mercantile Securities Corporation, was founded in September of 1979, and has grown to become a consistent top-ranking member firm in the Makati Stock Exchange. The non-life insurance agency, PBP Insurance Agency, Incorporated, started operations sixteen years ago in May of 1983.
