I am teaching Polymer Clay workshops in Brookings, OR (Southern Oregon Coast) once again, on Tuesday evenings (or an occasional other week night) at 6:30PM. They are held at Living Waters Church Hall (1136 Fifield-behind Brookings Inn Resort-white and red motel) for ages 13-adults.
*Class fees include all class supplies (except a ONE TIME Beginner's Basic Kit Fee of $9, due AT your first class (cash preferred-or check)!
Making & Using Molds
My next workshop is on *Thursday, Aug. 4th and it will be a fun class, learning how to make molds from almost anything solid, then using those flexible and hard clay molds for jewelry, purse handles, barrettes, home decor accents and more! (samples above) To sign up just choose "Making & Using Molds" under the Workshop Type menu (top of page), then click "Add to Cart". (Classes are usually on Tues. except this week.)
The primary medium we use is oven-bake pre-colored polymer clay and liquid polymer clay, although we add lots of fun mixed media to projects!
*PLEASE READ: Cancellation Policy-If you give a full 24 hours notice, you may use your class payment for an upcoming class within two months. If you cancel less then 24 hours in advance, you may either send a lucky person in your place to the class (if a newby, they can purchase the beginner's kit for $9); or I will keep your class supplies and instructions for you at the church (Mon.-Thurs.), to pick up at your earliest convenience, (I suggest calling first (541) 469-5757 as pastor is in and out.) Then, maybe another student can answer questions or help you learn the class techniques. Questions: I am a member of facebook and Brookville on facebook (under Shirley Rufener)!

Chalk Pod Florals
Date TBA: This is a pendant 1-session workshop technique (with a little 'glazing' homework) I may be teaching in a future class. I have discovered many soft pastel chalk techniques to use with polymer clay that provide beautiful unique results. This workshop teaches my original published signature 'chalk pod florals' technique, as we create a beautiful glossy pendant.
"Polymer & Pastel Sampler"
For those who like to play and experiment with techniques this 1-session class is chalked (no pun intended) full of texture, color and amazing chalk results. We will concentrate on technique tiles for a sampler booklet, rather then finishing a project.
Faux Dichroic Glass
Date TBA: Learn how to replicate the look of the beautiful metallic colors and patterns of dichroic glass in this 2-part workshop, as we create a few cabachons (domed stones) and perfect fit decorated bezels (settings). We will make a pendant project. A popular class!
