I am teaching Polymer Clay workshops in Brookings, OR (Southern Oregon Coast) once again, on Tuesday evenings at 6:30PM. They are held at Living Waters Church Hall (1136 Fifield-behind Brookings Inn Resort-white and red motel) for ages 13-adults. Class fees include all class supplies (except a one time Beginner's Basic Kit fee of $9, due AT your first class (cash preferred-or check)!
Polymer Clay Class This Month
We will have a great time transferring any type of reduced image (flowers, animals, photos, collage, your art) in our Tues. Aug. 30th class "Tansfer Images on Polymer Clay"! They come out very clean and bright with this new technique. Personalized jewelry, magenets, etc. make great gifts, why not start now for the holidays or a birthday gift! We will make a pendant during class. **If you have an image or photo you want to use during class, please email it to me by Monday night, or Tuesday by 11AM (at the latest) in 300 dpi format. Let me know if you have a particular pendant shape in mind (oval, rectangle, circle, square).
These photo samples of a true color transfer technique possible with an easy heat-activated method taught. You will be amazed at the brightness of the finished image, something clayers have been trying to achieve for years. I will reduce it and print on the special transfer paper before class. Sign up soon, space is limited! I will share pre-printed images as well! Click on class title at the top of the page and you will be taken to PayPal (no membership required and free to use).
The primary medium we use is oven-bake pre-colored polymer clay and liquid polymer clay, although we add lots of fun mixed media to projects!
*PLEASE READ: Cancellation Policy-If you give a full 24 hours notice, you may use your class payment for an upcoming class within two months. If you cancel less then 24 hours in advance, you may either send a lucky person in your place to the class (if a newby, they can purchase the beginner's kit for $9); or I will keep your class supplies and instructions for you at the church (Mon.-Thurs.), to pick up at your earliest convenience, (I suggest calling first (541) 469-5757 as pastor is in and out.) Then, maybe another student can answer questions or help you learn the class techniques. Questions: I am a member of facebook and Brookville on facebook (under Shirley Rufener)!
**Note to Beginners: I teach a 30 minute "Polymer Clay Basics" mini-class from 6-6:30PM before each class (if we have a beginner-PLEASE LET ME KNOW). If you have worked with polymer clay for over a year you can skip this beginner mini-class.
