Custom Just Rite Homemade Rubber Stamp
Project and Design Gallery
by Shirley Rufener

I have had so much fun and satisfaction creating my own translucent
rubber stamps and texture sheets. The following vase brooch is a sample of my latest work.

Here is a sample of a custom translucent texture stamp
made with a JustRite kit.

The stamp is then pressed into a slab of clay to make a
mold (brown-scrap clay), so that the clay sheet for the project
(white) will have a raised embossed design. The above vase
was created in this manner with my signature 'scattered leaves' design.
Silver leaf was tapped onto the vase and then baked. Translucent Liquid
Sculpey was tinted with Piñata alcohol inks which then fills in
the lower cells of the design as in champlevé.

Watch this Fall for my new book "Polymer Clay Mixed Media Jewelry"
to hit the shelves with lots of tips on ubber stam making and
projects using polymer and metal clay and a hole lot more!
