Supply List For Shirley's
Focal Bead Scarf/Shawl Pin Workshop

Below you will find the required list of materials and tools needed
to complete the class project. Please do not hesitate to contact me

Materials



~Scarf/Shawl Pin Kit (includes silvertone long bendable pin,
enough silver plated 22g wire for a wrapped bead and spring to cover
the bended area, three 2" long silver plated head pins and a silver
plated jump ring) available on our Products Page:

~One 2oz. cube white polymer clay I used Premo

Premo! Sculpey polyemr clay



~2oz.of scrap polymer clay OR 2oz. any light colored polymer clay

~Translucent Liquid Sculpey clay (or Kato liquid or Fimo liquid) TLS
has a matte finish, Fimo Liquid has a satin finish and Kato Liquid
has a shiny finish) although you may choose to glaze your bead
after baking anyway.

~Two colors of alcohol inks that blend well (I used Pinata by Jacquard,
"Baja Blue" and "Lime Green")


~Cyanoacrylate glue (like superglue)

~6 large-hole beads (mine are round silver plated). They must fit over
the pin so I strongly advise purchasing the pin first then
trying different sized hole beads)

~6 coordinating glass "E" beads for dangles AND one glass bead that
is 3/8" to 1/2" approximate diameter

~Optional supply: Polymer clay compatible Sealer/Glaze (like Future
floor wax, Fimo gloss or IPN Varathane Diamond

Tools

~Clay-Dedicated Hand Crank Pasta Machine OR an Acrylic Roller
Tool

~X-Acto type craft blade knife with no. 11 blades (or similar blade knife)

~Metal Fingernail file or small metal jewelry file to smooth cut wire ends


~Fine mist 'spritzer'-spray bottle of water

SAMPLE
~A 3"or larger background rubber stamp with an all-over pattern available at:

or create one in my "Make Your Own Stamps" class!

~Heat tool (used for heating embossing powders usually) A hair dryer will NOT work

~6 well or more-plastic palette (I like round ones with clear plastic lids best-but they are not neccessary) OR a similar plastic shape (pill box, ice cube tray etc.) to mix your liquid clay with inks)

~Needle nose pliers with a built in wire cutter area (or wire cutters also)

~Round nose pliers

~(Optional tool: Jump ring tool)
