Fabulous Bookends!

Go Fish
1. Lay bookend flat onto foam core and trace around shape with pen.
2. Slice foam core with X-Acto knife only half way through thickness on the first cut, then all the way through with the second cut.
3. Lay foam core shape on metal and lightly trace shape. Remove board and cut metal sheet 3/4" LARGER on all four sides using Metalworks scissors.
4. Clip metal corners 1/4" from foam core.
BEACH GIRL: step 5. Round corners on beach photo with punch or scissors.
GO FISH: step 5. Mat your photo with scrap paper that's 1/4" larger all around using tape runner. Secure edges well!
6. Secure fishing phrase and fishing lure stickers (or sandy beach and seashells) around border area.
7. Place metal over craft foam sheet and emboss gently around photo and stickers with wood stylus (see close up image at right).
GO FISH: step 8. Emboss random curly lines to imitate a tangled fish line on the front of metal.
BEACH GIRL: step 8. Texture blue metal background by repeatedly pressing the rounded end of wood stylus tool firmly over surface.
9. Turn embossed metal to the backside and "puff out" the inside of sticker outline areas by rubbing with rounded end of stylus tool.
10. Fill each indented 'pool' with hot glue (don't overfill, just keep glue level). This prevents dimensional areas from being crushed.
11. Trace foam core shape onto adhesive sticker paper with pen, and also onto felt (use chalk pencil). Cut out both shapes.
12. Apply Tacky Glue to foam core, spread to a thin even layer and secure to back of embossed metal.
13. Place backside of foam core on bookend. Bend metal around to the back of the bookend using a bed corner fold at rounded corners.
14. Burnish the edges gently with side of wood stylus tool.
15. Secure the felt to the back of bookend to cover metal flaps by applying Tacky Glue to felt and pressing in place.
16. For a decorative touch, squeeze a tiny dot of Super Gel onto tip of brads and push into side edges of GO FISH metal bookend (or around beach photo) spacing brads evenly.
17. Allow all glues to dry.
Instructions are basically the same for the Fifties Bookend. Simply omit the photo, and add a stippled texture (as beach bookend) to some background areas between two curly lines. Black brads are used around the edge (as GO FISH) of this design.

Six Coordinating Cards

Construction Card
1. Use trimmer to slice a 4" strip off of 12" piece of white cardstock. Fold larger piece in half to form a 4" x 12" tall card base.
2. Cut and secure a 4" x 12" piece of Blueprints paper to cover with tape runner.

2. Cut a 4" strip (one locker door) off locker paper, and secure lines of tape runner to the back.
3. Slide a nickel photo corner onto locker paper corners, remove protective liner from metal corners to expose adhesive and press panel onto card front.
4. Add title in ransom sticker letters.
5. Fold the remaining 8" wide locker paper (two locker doors) in half lengthwise, and secure inside card with tape runner.

3. Secure grad cap and diploma stickers on tickets strip spacing evenly.
4. Spiral one end of black wire and thread on card title letter stickers in order. Curve and loop wire as you add to card.
5. Spiral end and clip off excess wire. Add a sticker to inside with a short piece of wire, spiraled at each end if desired.
