Instructions
1. Remove any lint or dirt from shoes and stuff shoes solid with paper towels or an old sock until firm.
2. Spray a thin even coat of Spritz-On Tacky Glue over the BACK side of stencil, and allow to dry until clear on a non-stick surface. Glue will remain tacky to the touch. (Wash spray nozzle after each use with hot water to keep spray bottle working as a fine mist)
3. If using a single stencil (not a border or repeated pattern), it is helpful to cut out around the design area so stencil will form and bend around the shoe curve. You may even want to make short clips in the plastic around the design edge, so it forms to the shoe shape.
4. Press stencil into place.
5. Pick up paint onto brush and blot off excess until almost dry, onto a paper towel.
6. Stencil a thin layer of white paint if desired and let dry. Stencil dark colors and highlight with light colors. Overlap colors to blend them at the edges.
7. Remove stencil and clean thoroughly before paint dries, by laying it on paper towels, and softly brushing with an old toothbrush that's dipped in soft liquid soap and hot water.
8. Any areas that have a smudge or unwanted paint can be touched up using the black marker.

Tips & Techniques
*Yellow highlights over Holiday Green, Royal Blue, and Chrimson Red well. *To shade the inside of a rose, use a darker color such as Crimson Red over Berry Red, or Velveteen Blue over Azalea, Periwinkle or Berry Red. *Royal Blue over Green is nice for a teal shade. *Experiment on paper plates to find colors that blend well. Ebony and Chocolate can be used for deep shading on any color.
