Basic Stenciling & Painting
Stenciling a Monogram
1. Apply a thin coat of Reposition-It glue to the back side of
your letter stencil and smooth with fingertip.
Wash and dry hands.
2. Place stencil in the center of the front of the lime lampshade
and press down gently.
3. Stencil letter with stencil brush, by dipping it in Ebony paint
(on palette), tapping a little off onto a paper towel,
then "pouncing" it on in open areas of stencil.
4. When letter is dry, apply Reposition-It glue to the back of
corner design stencil and stencil one Ebony design on
either side of letter. Let dry.
5. Attach black dotted ribbon to top and bottom shade edges with
Tacky Glue, and let dry.

Painting the Blue & White Lampshade
1. Use masking tape to tape off and "mask" stripes on shade. Space
them evenly by placing a short piece of tape between
stripes at the top edge as shown.
2. Tape over the top and bottom trim area as well.
3. Mix 2 drops of Marine Blue paint into a puddle of Glacier White on
palette to form a baby blue color, and apply with stencil
brush between tape lines.
4. Allow to dry then remove the tape.
5. Add 2 more drops of Marine Blue paint to light blue paint and mix.
6. Add a little water to paint until it's the consistency of
ink. Using a liner brush, apply curved lines where the
white and blue sections meet.
7. When painted lines are dry, apply matte white dimensional paint
in curved lines down the center of each blue section.
8. Glue white lace trim to shade rims using Tacky Glue and let dry.

Color Tinting Silk Roses
Note: The size of your chosen shade will determine how many silk
roses you will need for your project. I'd buy a
few extra to be safe!
1. Squeeze a nickel size puddle of Azalea fabric paint onto
palette, and mix in a few drops of water with flat brush.
2. Touch the flat edge of the brush to the edges of the petals to
tint them. Allow paint to dry a few minutes.
3. Separate the petals from the plastic and remove stem and all
plastic inserts inside rose. Glue two of the same size
flower shapes together with Tacky Glue and let dry.
4. Cut flower shapes into individual petals, and begin gluing
the largest petals, side by side, to the bottom edge of
lamp shade with Tacky Glue. Start at the back of shade.
5. Cover most of the shade with petals, overlapping the next row
of petals over the first in staggered positions. Save the top
shade area free from petals so you can add full flowers.
6. Layer and glue a flower together with the largest shapes at the
bottom, then medium and then the smallest. When dry,
glue the flowers to the shape beginning at the back.
7. Place shade on a soft thick towel, so it's level. Cover towel
with waxed paper. Squeeze a small puddle of Glass & Bead
adhesive in the center of one full flower. Drop small
Fuchsia Lined Clear Beads into glue and let dry completely
before moving on to the next flower to avoid shifting.

Spinning Painted Dots
1. Squeeze out a nickel size puddle of Lime and Olive Soft Paint
onto palette. Mix the two colors together, then mix in
a drop of Holiday Green.
2. Squeeze a quarter puddle of Turquoise. Squeeze a quarter size
of Metallic Platinum. (Do NOT mix these).
3. Dip round Spongit applicator into each color of paint at an angle
so the three paints are in sections. Colors can overlap!
4. Position shade on a soft thick towel, so it's level. Cover towel
with waxed paper. Place Brush flat on shade and twist
one full rotation. Lift.
5. Space dots evenly but randomly-not in rows. Allow a section to
dry, then rotate shade on towel.
6. Follow shade necklace instructions below to add beaded chain.

Adding Beads & Charms
Tip: Always lay out your beads and charms in a pleasing order
first, on a bead board or soft wash cloth.
Lampshade Necklaces
Tip: Make sure to use a shade with a slightly wider bottom diameter
for this style, so that necklace stays in place.
1. Wrap chain around the shade to size it, then add 2" and cut
with wire cutters.
2. To make black shade with multi color bead necklace, fix
chain links so they are flat with no twists, and tape down to table.
3. Attach jump rings to wire wrapped beads and spiral charms, and
connect to every other link in chain.
4. Attach a lobster claw clasp to one end of chain with a jump
ring, and another jump ring to the other end.
5. Make an earring/shade accent for each panel by attaching a wire
wrapped bead to spiral earring post, and a small spiral charm
to the bottom of bead using jump rings.

Seashell Blue Lamp
Note: Some vases that can be filled with things may differ from
the one I used, so adjust instructions accordingly.
1. Unwind the screw at the bottom of clear fillable glass vase
and slide cover down cord.
2. Fill with several packages dark blue glass bead mixes and
natural blue bead mixes, shells, glass marbles or disks, etc.
3. Slide bottom cover back in place and secure with screw.
4. I slowly rotated the vase to get the items in a nice position.
Be careful, glass does break as well as some shells!

Copper Bead Accented Shade
1. String copper spiral beads and charms on thin elastic and tie
off with a good strong knot. Slide over shade.
2. Bead 3 small copper beads then one square bead on thin
wire cut to 3 times the length of the base pole.
3. Repeat till fully beaded then wrap each end around a thin paintbrush
handle to secure. A dab of Glass & Tile glue works well
to attach beaded wire to top of lamp base. When glue
is dry wrap beaded wire around the lamps base.
