Barbara’s Autobiography

Barbara Smucker was born in Kansas in 1915 and attended school there through university. Her careers have been numerous. They include: newspaper reporter, bookstore saleslady, high school teaching, librarian, author, mother of three children, and now, grandmother of four. Her places of residence have been just as numerous. Her family has lived in New Jersey, Illinois, England, Mississippi, and Canada since 1969-their longest place of residence. She and her husband are dual citizens of Canada and the United States of America. Her U.S. address in Bluffton, Ohio, her husbands hometown. In 1993, they retired there, and return to Canada every spring.
