The Beginning of Project Clean
When my group members and me received the assignment of doing a community service project, we thought about different things that would benefit the community. We knew that we wanted to educate children, but about what? We thought about all the possibilities:
- Smoking
- Mentoring
- Tutoring
- Depression
Finally, we decided to tech the children about different aspects of the environment. Pollution, recycling, and waste energy would all be part of the curriculum.
From there, we all put in our own thoughts and original ideas and out of them emerged Project CLEAN (Children Learning Environmental Awareness Now). Project CLEAN is geared towards teaching children about the environment and the necessary skills they will need to preserve and care for the earth.
