spine tingle then you must be Mayor Daley. Click

| If you have ever played Microsoft’s Flight
Simulator then you know what Meigs field is. If not, it is a awesome little
airport right in downtown Chicago on Lake Michigan. |

| On the night of March 31 Mayor
Richard M. Daley, like a terrorist in the night, brought in bulldozers and
carved large "X’s" into the runway leaving 16 airplanes stranded and many
people out of a job. As of now FOM (Friends of Meigs) and AOPA have a
temporary restraining order on the city of Chicago. There will be a
hearing on April 16th to determine the fate on Meigs Field.

| This is a very ironic quote that was stated by
Daniel H. Burnham in his Plan of Chicago in 1909:
"The fine arts of traffic management should be studied no less than the
fine arts of parks and boulevards; for unless Chicago keeps ahead of her
rivals in commercial matters, the parks will become pastures, and the
boulevards will be deserted."

| Mayor
Richard Daley,
I am personally shocked and appalled by your recent actions against the
citizens of the United States. You call yourself an American. The US
soldiers are dying to protect our freedom and you sneak behind the back of
the democratic ways of the US and like a terrorist in the night destroy
apart of America’s framework. You are a typical politician; people like
you are the type who threatens the foundation of this FREE
democratic country (and the democratic way of getting things
done). Your word and honor can no longer be trusted. You not only hurt the
pilots but also yourself. Meigs field has an amazing sentimental value to
the pilots of the world and in return brings great economical benefits to
your city. I am a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and
along with the other 390,000 pilots am very disappointed in your terrorist
act. As Bush stated "We will defeat terrorism" and that includes you and
your selfish, self centered, and un-honorable actions.
You are no gentleman
Jeff
