Our group monitored the northwest side of Galloway Creek for the second 100 feet, or 1 acre, from the bridge. The weather was very clear and sunny at 3:00 pm on October 16, 2003. Scattered along the stream were broken branches, fallen leaves and eroded cement slabs lining the riverbank. There are a few apartment complexes and residential areas surrounding the watershed, and there are parking lots and a gas station within a 1/4 mile from the stream-site. Garbage is strewn around the watershed, which tells us that the people inhabiting this area must not care very much about their stream.
