Dear News for Kids:

At Alexander School in Miami, Florida, we have an "Express Yourself T-shirt Day" EVERY Friday. The money raised goes to charity.

Students bring 25 cents or more to wear a tasteful and wholesome t-shirt or shirt of choice, but students have to wear uniform "bottoms" on this day because the administration does not want to have to "police" the variety of "bottoms" students might wear - pants too loose, too tight, too low, or with holes, etc.

A few times a year we have thosekind of days: general "Mufti Days" where we can wear anything, "Jeans for Genes Day", where you wear jeans, and you have to bring a dollar, and sometimes we have other ones to raise money for charity like Ties for Thai Day, where you wear a colourful tie, and Jersey day, where you wear a jersey.

We have a "Free dress/Crazy hair Day" where we don't have to wear uniforms and can make our hair funny to help charity.
